Withington Parish CouncilThe Parish Council AGM was held on 7th May. Among the itemsdiscussed was the exercising of dogs in the playing field. This issomething which comes up quite regularly. Please be aware that dogsare not allowed in the playing field(with the exception of guidedogs). There are signs which state that dogs are not allowed but someresidents have been ignoring them. We have new play equipmentwhich is not fenced off from the rest of the field and it is veryunpleasant as well as dangerous if children are in contact with dogfaeces. Also the main field is used by children and adults to playcricket and other games. It is also forbidden to ride motor bikes on thefield as has been happening recently. If you have information on thesematters or wish to contact the Parish Council on any othermatter the Parish Clerk can be contacted by e-mail [email protected]

Withington 100 ClubThis year the Village Committee is hoping to insulate the building andprovide a new efficient, and more eco based heating system in the VillageHall. Despite having a grant toward the work, there remains a good deal offund raising to be done. One easy, but valuable contribution is via the 100 Club, where 50% of the funds generated go directly to the VillageCommittee and 50% is paid out in prizes. The more members the betterthe prizes.
Withington residents should have received joining/renewal forms. Pleaseconsider joining, either as a new member or renewing your regularmembership. If you haven't received a form please let me know and I'lldeliver one(tel:890428). Thank you.
Winners of the latest draw were: M Tuckey (ticket number 18), K Lawton(277) and G Craig (256), congratulations to them. The draw in June will bethe last of the 2013/14 cycle, so please let me have your renewal fee of£18, by mid June. Please help support your Village.
