Brothers,

This year has started off to be challenging, though with your continued support there is nothing that this Lodge cannot accomplish! We have lots of good stuff going on though and I know that this line of officer’s are ready and willing to fight the fight and keep Oviedo Lodge the best of the best in the Proud 17th Masonic District!

We have been very busy and it looks like things are going to stay that way for a while. We have had many brothers moving up through the degrees, and I couldn’t be more proud! I would like to congratulate Brothers Cody Campo, Tomm Hildebrandt, and Erik Swanson for successfully being raised to Master Masons! At this time I would also like to congratulate Brothers Josh Vincent, David Bowling, and Anthony Mercado for successfully returning their FC Proficiencies... and they too will soon be raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason! We have also recently initiated 2 new Brothers, Ivan Golden and John Burglow! Welcome to the fraternity! All of these brothers are moving forward in their Masonic journeys and are presenting the qualities of good brothers, and upright men and Masons as well as lovers of the fraternity!

I would also like to recognize our secretary Tom Bryson. Tom Has been dedicated to this lodge for multiple years, and his job truly isn’t easy. Especially trying to keep this master straight! Thank you for all that you do. Your plate is pretty full, but it seems you are always there when your lodge needs you!

There have been lots of little things and large things that many of you have assisted me with, and I truly cannot thank you all enough for your support! This lodge has a great set of core members, and it is because of you that we do so well!

Also on the list of thank yous, is Brother Gary Gray and his wife Priscilla! These two are always there when asked, and work their tails off! Your selfless ways of sharing your time and your countless donations are always appreciated, and never over-looked! AGAIN BIG THANK YOU TO BOTH OF YOU!

It is with a heavy heart that I would like to take a moment to express my deepest of condolences to the Goodboe family. Mike Passed away on January 12th, and as much as I know his family will miss him, I know that this lodge will too! Mike fought a tough fight, but for myself there is comfort in knowing that this brother’s fight is over and his loving soul is at rest! ALAS, MY BROTHER!

Looking forward, we have many events on the horizon, including our annual picnic, multiple

Child ID’s, the Lodge BBQ, and possibly a few new things in store that should prove to be very beneficial for the lodge and the craft! I ask that all of you brothers, please try to attend our stated communications as this is where all the planning starts. In the past you may have felt as if there weren’t enough jobs to help with...but I assure you this is not the case! So many times when we have a brother come to lodge we are so excited to see you that we don’t ask if you want to help with these projects out of fear of chasing you off… So please - if you have an interest in getting involved ...SPEAK UP! I am sure that we can use you and your expertise!

We also have a few projects that we are looking into which I am asking any and all brothers to please offer your help if you have knowledge of or would be willing to donate time or energy too… these projects include remodeling our ladies restroom, acquiring and placing lettering on the west side of our lodge for advertising, as well as the new street sign that W:. Harrold got us, (Thanks Tim! It is going to be awesome and your dedication to our lodge is overwhelmingly appreciated).

Brothers, there is plenty to do and if you are handy, or otherwise just want to be more of a part of your lodge and it’s activities, I will say it again, there is no shortage of things to do, but the first step is showing up!

Fraternally, Curran Hohmann Worshipful Master

My Brothers,

First off I would like to thank everyone who has helped with the start of the year. The D.D.G.M visit went smoothly thanks to everyone's help, not to mention a meal no one will forget by our Brother Junior Warden Tim Brehm. Also i would like to thank everyone that gave us a hand in moving everything from the women's club to the lodge for the yard sale, and a special thanks to Worshipful Tim Harrold for use of his truck and trailer. I would also like to congratulate all the new Fellow Crafts on their proficiencies, as well as all the Fellow Crafts who moved up to Master Masons. Last I would like to congratulate new Brothers John Burglow and Ivan Golden.

Brothers we have a lot of exciting events in the near future. Our annual yard sale was a success, and I would like to thank all of the Brothers and their families for the support! This year we didn’t make as much money as in

previous years, but for what we had to offer it was definitely a success!

Brothers we are heading in the right direction. We have several Entered Apprentices and 3 more brothers being Raised to Master Mason soon, as well as several candidates in the work. However, we are always looking for good men of great morals and character for our lodge, so keep friends, family, neighbors, and co- workers in mind.

Now as a final note i would like to invite all members who are not currently active in the Lodge to come out and see us. If you are rusty on the work, feel free to come on a Thursday night to catch up with everything and everyone. Brothers again I can’t urge you enough and we really could use your help! If you need anything or are have any questions about becoming active again but don't want to just show up, feel free to call me personally any time at 321-276-0721.

Fraternally, Joe Tedesco Senior Warden

faces and bellies full! If you have something special you would like on the menu one night, let me know and I will do my best to make it happen.

Hope to see you all at the lodge very soon. Health and happiness to you all! Fraternally, Tim Brehm Junior Warden

Hello my Brothers, Well, we have finished the fourth month of 2015!

And what a great start to the year we have had. There have been a group of Entered Apprentice moving up to Fellow Craft, then to Master Mason, and now we have 3 more Fellow Crafts that have will soon be Master Masons! I would like to take time to congratulate all those brothers that are moving forward in their Masonic journey and thank them for their participation in the lodge events. It's really great to be with you and share in our experiences.

If you haven't been to education night in a while (every Thursday night) you are missing out on a good chance to meet, talk to, and inform men who are interested in becoming Masons. Oviedo has really started growing! It seems every week we have a new visitor that is interested in seeking the light of Masonry. It would be great to have our more experienced brothers and Past Masters at the lodge to greet them and share Oviedo Lodge's history with them.

I have been trying to keep a lot of variety in the menu for our dinner evenings. So far it seems all is going well and I have been able to keep a smile on

Brothers, keep our Officers and Brethren in your prayers for wisdom and guidance.

Please keep our country and it's leadership in your prayers, every day. We know that all things work together for good for those who have faith and believe in God.

Shrine Circus – The 61st annual Shrine Circus will be held May 16th and 17th. This is a fun way to help support the many activities of the Shriners in our communities, and to promote awareness of the Shriners Hospital for Children in Tampa . Please come support this noble cause!

Lodge Picnic – We are attempting to again host this at Seminole Woods, but we may have to look into June or July, as May is quite a busy month in regards to Masonry. The lodge will provide food and drinks, please bring any yard games you enjoy, there will be other activities as well, Please keep an eye out on your email as this event may end up in early to mid June!

Lodge Dark – Please be advised that during the months of May, June, July and August, the Lodge will be Dark on the 4th Monday of each month.

Grand Lodge Communication – Will Commence on May 24th– May 27th at the Rosen Center on International Drive. This is a great event to learn about how Florida Masonry makes laws and discusses issues at the Grand Lodge level. This is also a great opportunity to meet Masons from across the state, and if there is anything masonic that you just can’t find in stores, it will be there! If you have an interest in joining your brothers at the event please contact any of the lodge Officers for further details.

Grand Master’s Visit – July 11th is the BIG DAY! As usual Oviedo Lodge will handle the registration. If you would like to be a part of this event please call any of the Officers for more details! If you pay your dues your meal is covered! DARK SUIT IS REQUIRED!

Lodge Social – Final Answer… June 12th...7:30 pm. Hollerbach’s Willow Tree in Sanford! Good Food! Great Friends! And Das Boot! I think that says enough! Be there or be square! Not Masonically Square!

Master Mason Exams – Worshipful Kimball will be hosting Master Mason Exams beginning on May 18th! This three-part series is a self/group study offered through Grand Lodge. Come and earn a nice certificate to add to your masonic wall… and you may learn a thing or two in the process!

Please mail your dues promptly, as repeated notifications cost time and money that could be better spent on other worthy Lodge activities! Remember - when we petitioned to join Freemasonry, we all agreed to pay our dues promptly at the beginning of the year!

Also - please notify me of any change of address, phone numbers, and your affiliation with any appendant Masonic organization, so we can keep your records up-to-date. You can e-mail me at: [email protected]

Thank You!
