May 3, 2018 is the date set for our an- nual Women’s World Day of Prayer. Please join us at 9:00 a.m. at the Sully Christian Reformed Church. All ladies of our churches and community are urged to gather for a time of reflection and prayer as we consider the need for a revival in our land, and women of faith can pray that the Lord will indeed send that revival. Following a time of refreshments and devotions, we will divide into groups and spend some time in prayer. A nursery will be available. We have this hope as an anchor for our soul, firm and secure. Hebrews 6:19 Anchor is open to the community and child care will be provided. All ages are welcome! Evening Worship at 6:00 pm with Pastor Bob Hammann—Gathering Place Scripture: Revelation 13:1-10 Message: “The Beast from the Sea”

“What Makes God Smile?” Romans 12:1-2

Pastor Wayne Sneller 9:30 a.m. April 29, 2018

The smile of God is the goal of your life!

We are in a series that is looking at the first of God’s five purposes for your life?

“You, God created everything and it is for your pleasure that they exist and were created.” Revela-tion 4:12

God wants you to ____________ Him back. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.” Matthew 22:37 1. My first purpose in life is to ___________ God! “…give your bodies to God because all he has done for you. This is truly the way to worship him.” Romans 12:1 Worship is my response to God’s love. Worship is __________ ___________ to God. What do you give a God who has everything? You give Him your _______! “Love the Lord with all

your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.” Mark 12:30 2. God wants me to love Him three ways: God wants me to love Him ________________ – with my mind. God wants me to love Him ________________ – with my heart and soul. God wants me to love Him ________________ – with my strength, my abilities.

3. If worshipping God is our first purpose, how do we do it? The heart of worship is ________________. How? Worship is ________________ my attention on God.

Have you ever prayed on _________ _____________? God wants your focus because he is focused on _________! “O Lord, you have examined my heart.” Psalm 139:1

Worship is _____________ my affection to God. “We love Him, because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19 Have you ever said I _________ you to God? God wants to ________ that from you.

Worship is ___________ my abilities for God. So we make it our goal to please Him. 2 Corinthians 5:9 (NIV) It’s ___________ expressions of love. God wants to be invited into every ___________ of your life.

Don’t miss your primary purpose in life by pushing out God in _________ you worship. Without even knowing it, whatever you ___________ about is what you worship. Because the way you spend your time and your money ___________ what you love the ____________.

I challenge you to make the number one goal of your life by getting to know and love God because that brings Him ________________.

That makes God smile!
