ASCENSION PARISH FEAST DAY Last Sunday we celebrated our Ascension Parish Feast Day with prayer, music, food and games!
Over 100 people a"ended! We would like to give a huge thank you to Deacon John Paul for leading the Living Rosary and all those who par!cipated, a very hear+elt thank you to Beth Kensok
and her saxophone quartet, who performed beau!ful spiritual composi!ons that were absolutely a delight to the ears, to Steve Ri"er for making the delicious sloppy joes, and to Ernie and Carol Reinert for leading Bingo and dona!ng the
awesome prizes! We hope everyone had fun!
CHRIST THE KING ANNUAL INDOOR YARD SALE, Drop off your dona!ons of valuables, an!ques, and other useful household items at Christ the King School Gym, May 24th and 25 from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. ST. MARY’S CEMETERY The annual collec!on to help raise funds for St. Mary’s Cemetery will take place the week of May 24th. In the mail, you will be receiving informa!on about the cemetery and this annual collec!on. Your generous contribu!ons to the Memorial Day Annual Appeal are used in two important ways: increasing our Perpetual Care Fund, which is vital to the long-term care of the cemetery, and making necessary capital improvements. Please consider dona!ng to our cemetery to help us maintain this beau!ful and prayerful place for our loved ones.
St. Mary’s Cemetery Memorial Day decora!ons may be placed on graves three days before Memorial Day and will be removed one week a%er the holiday. All other items placed on graves outside of these days must be in a vase a"ached to the headstone base or to the headstone itself. This includes solar lights, shepherd hooks, etc. Cemetery employees will remove all items that do not meet these criteria on Tuesday, June 8th. St. Mary’s Cemetery assumes no responsibility or liability for items placed in the cemetery. DIRECTOR OF FAITH FORMATION & COMMUNICATIONS Ascension Parish has a full-!me (40 hours/week) job posi!on open for a Director of Faith Forma!on & Communica!ons. The Director of Faith Forma!on and Communica!ons is responsible for the development, coordina!on, and promo!on of a comprehensive plan for the spiritual growth and faith development of grades Kindergarten through 12th, along with maintaining our parish website, sending parish communica!ons, and u!lizing our parish social media pla+orms.
Qualifica!ons: Individual must be an ac!ve Catholic who is organized, commi"ed, crea!ve and has a bachelor’s degree with classes in theology, educa!on and/or pastoral ministry. Experience teaching within a parish faith forma!on program is preferred. Must possess strong skills in communica!on, technology, interpersonal rela!ons, mul!-tasking, and organiza!on. A complete background check is required by the Diocese of Bismarck.
Compensa!on/Benefits: This is a salaried posi!on based upon educa!on and experience and includes a full range of benefits including a 401K plan.

CHURCH SPRING CLEANING If you have an hour or two to devote to ge'ng the inside of the church sparkling, please join us on Tuesday, May 25th a%er the 8:00 am Mass. We will be dus!ng, cleaning the pews, cleaning the windows in the church foyer, sweeping and vacuuming.
MEALS ON WHEELS Once again, our parish has been asked to cover one route during the month of June. The meals need to be delivered Monday through Friday; the !me frame is from 11:55 am un!l finished, which is typically about 45 minutes to an hour. The meals are picked up at the Sanford Outpa!ent Surgery Entrance at 414 N 7th Street. Volunteers can pick any day of the month, an en!re week, or whatever your preference may be. If you are comfortable volunteering, please email Rita at rri"[email protected]. or call the Parish Office at 223-3606. All volunteers will be asked to use hand sani!zer, maintain social distancing, and wear a “face covering” to keep both you and the Meals on Wheels clients safe and healthy. Thank you for your willingness to volunteer!
