Who Should Become an SFP?

IFMA’s Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP) is designed for all FM and like-minded professionals with an interest in sustainable practices. It is ideal for: Facility management practitioners with a baseline of FM industry

knowledge. FM professionals with proven experience transitioning into

sustainability related positions. Related industry practitioners such as architects, designers and

safety engineers. Facility-related product and service providers. CFMs and FMPs interested in expanding their depth of expertise in

the area of sustainable facility management

Steps to achieving the SFP:

1. Order the IFMA SFP Credential Program, an all–inclusive training and assessment program that combines comprehensive reading materials to help you learn about sustainable facility practices from an FM perspective, interactive online study tools to test your understanding and retention, and final SFP assessments to qualify you to earn the SFP credential.

2.  If you have limited experience in the FM industry, consider achieving your FMP first. Also, review Essentials of FM, an online introductory overview of the FM industry.

3.  Read the electronic/printed training materials and complete the online interactive study tools for each course to enhance your skills and knowledge.

4. Complete the three online SFP final assessments with a passing score.

5. Submit your SFP application (with application fee) to IFMA to validate your SFP credential.
