Primarily
charged with taking care of my patients face to face interactions and caring for them during their blood collection performing phlebotomy pediatric through geriatric (go to hard stick guy), and explaining the process and reasons behind it. From there I would process the samples and make sure they were separated, aliqouted, stabilized and shipped employing a variety of methods for different tests. I was in charge of performing several POC tests, as well as maintaining all lot comparisons and Q/C as well as CAP regulations. After that I was in charge of maintaining all or supplies checking expiration
dates and rotating stock. I had several employees I was in charge of schedules time clocks and infractions (time, and errors) as well as writing up yearly reviews, also and interpersonal issues. In addition I would have to respond anything that came up exchanging Emails and phone calls with administration and clients. I was a primary resource in advising doctors and nurses regarding tests and procedures.
