English Writing

Recently, my Mum shared a story that she has written. It was based on the true story of how her brother lost his pet alligator – yes really (this was a long time ago and they grew up in the USA!). We would like you to write a story about something really funny/unusual that has happened to you or someone you know! You could quiz your grown-ups and see if they have funny memories that you could turn into a story. Of course, when a story is based on fact, you can be a bit creative with it and make it even more extraordinary!

ICT Time to get busy with some ICT work. You can get a version of Scratch that you can use at home. Go to this website: https://scratch.mit.edu/ Your parents will need to create an account but then you are ready to go. Use what you can remember about programming to have a go at making your sprite draw different shapes and then say what the name of the shape is. Use this tutorial to help you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIpmkeqJhmQ This tutorial shows you how to draw a house shape. See if you can use this to complete the above task. If you really take to this try the challenge below: Can you create your own scratch game? Maybe you could make it topical where your character has to negotiate Coronavirus or shoot at it to destroy it!? If you are not sure how to do it, here are a range of tutorials that will help you. You can always practice creating the same games as the tutorials first. P.E Just Dance

We have been enjoying just dance as a family. Which routine do you know off by heart? Could an adult film you and send it to us. Doing three Just dance songs is just as good as doing a Jo Wicks workout.

French Hopefully you have had a look at the Power Point on families. Could you draw your own family tree? Can you label the people in French. For example I would introduce my sister Rachel like this: Voici ma soeur, Rachel. I would introduce my father, Stuart like this: Voici mon pere, Stuart. Could you do this for your family? Why is ma in pink and mon in blue I wonder?
