The costs of tertiary education in Australia” report from NATSEM-University of Canberra released in November 2008. Not everyone needs to go or should go to university! But everyone should be given a chance to become a champion! It is not about doing hard work at maths and science, it is about enjoying the hard work! This is true regardless of whatever things you will do in life. Like any champion who trains hours and hours in order to be a split of a second faster than their competitor in order to enjoy that single moment, the winning moment! Once students start to understand the difficult concepts in maths and science they will feel the reward of having conquered that challenge. Unless the students themselves understand this, no matter how much effort the teachers or the parents put, there will be no significant progress. Do you want to be a champion? My proposition is this: spend two hours every week to do Maths! If you want, you can! Dear friends,

“Over the working lifetime of a university graduate the financial gain generated from income is more than $1.5 million or 70% more than those whose highest qualification is Year 12, even after taking into account the foregone earnings of students while they study.”

Craig Meller, Managing Director, AMP Financial Services, in the foreword to the “What price the clever country?

I had been an associate professor in satellite communications research with University of South Australia until December 2014. A solid foundation in mathematics will make your life much easier in many undreamed-of ways. Remember these three key principles (http://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/Extras/StudyMath/HowToStudyMath.aspx)

1. math is not a spectator sport, you have to do it yourself!

2. work to understand the principles behind formulas!

3. mathematics is cumulative, whatever you learn today will help you tomorrow!
