top of the hourly literacy lesson

Some schools also have an extra half an hour of

ERIC type times!Some have separate handwriting sessions

Then, there is the literacy side of topic work –

research, recording etc.

This can all add up to three or more hours of English during the

school day.

English is rehearsed and reinforced frequently during a child’s day in

school
