Set induction±3minutes

1. Teacher tells the students the story of time.

2. Teacher shows the topic will learn today.

Step 1±8minutes

1. Teacher recall skills learnt in the years before. e.g. minute hand, hour hand, etc.

2. Move the minute hand to each 5-minute segments of time round the clock.

e.g. 5minutes, 10minutes, ect.

3. Allow pupils to find out that when the minute hand moves one round, the hour hand moves one hour that is from 12 to 1.

4. Teacher explains the ways of reading time.

e.g. half past one, one thirty or 30 minutes past one.

5. Proceed with other settings of the hour and minute hand then read the time.
