In this lesson we will answer the question: How can fractions be used to show division?

Vocabulary fraction a symbol, such as , used to describe one or more parts of a whole that is divided into equal parts. A fraction can name a part of a whole, a part of a set, a location on a number line, or a division of whole numbers.
