NEW MATERIALS AND NANOTECHNOLOGY THE SYSTHESIS OF THE SURFACE LAYER OF SUPERHARD POWDERED MATERIALS TO PRODUCE CERAMICS AND COMPOSITE Description The offered technology ensures uniform coats deposition of fixed thickness on diamond grains in less than 10 k and even to 1 k. It is enables to use them directly for sintering superhard ceramics and compositional materials from them. During the process of ceramic producing the coatings activates the process of sintering, and for the composite materials it is a barrier that preserve the SHM grains from the destruction influence of binder melts, optimizing the grade of strength of their retention in a material. Innovative Aspect and Main Advantages: The innovative aspect is an opportunity to accomplish hot compaction of SHM powders directly through the synthesized surface layer. Such method will provide a considerable increase of field-performance data of instrumental materials due to an ideal distribution of the components of mixture, when binding material is in the form of coat of preset thickness on the surface of the SHM grains. Areas of Application: Cermets segments for dressing, grinding, polishing, cutting, drilling and boring non-metallic materials; Superhard ceramic inserts for cutting tools Stage of Development: Now the samples of the instrument are tested in construction.
