Since 1989, North Shore Manufacturing has been providing productive, material handling solutions for a wide variety of industries including scrap recycling, solid waste handling, mining, forestry, foundry, utility and general construction industries. From a wide range of BuiltriteTM heavy duty grapples and other attachments, to our truck mounted material handlers and stationary electric material handlers, we have the tools to get the job done in the safest, quietest and most productive manner possible. Our company was built on listening to our customers’ needs by providing practical, productive solutions and by back-ing them up with a 1 year, 2000 hour, limited warranty and by providing installation expertise when new handlers are delivered to the customer.

Our 55,000 ft.2 (5,109 M2), state of the art manufacturing facility is nestled in Two Harbors, Minnesota, U.S.A. near the beautiful shores of Lake Superior. Our seasoned workforce is second to none when it comes to heavy steel fabrication techniques while our engineering staff uses state of the art, solid modeling computer software to ensure we get the design done right the first time. While other businesses have been busy out-sourcing their fabrication, our philosophy has always been to keep as much as possible in-house, thereby retaining the fabrica-tion wisdom and being able to respond quickly to customer demand.

Stationary Electric Material HandlersDesigned for fast and efficient feeding of shredders, balers, stationary shears and in-feed conveyors, our sta-tionary electric material handlers are designed and built using the finest materials possible to ensure long and reliable use. Key features and benefits include: • Lower Operating Costs - A stationary electric material handler is significantly less expensive to operate as

compared to diesel powered units. On fuel savings alone, a typical payback can be achieved in four years or less. Electricity costs are fixed as opposed to diesel so you can get a better handle on your everyday expenses.

From scrap handling to railway maintenance to picking and hauling various tools and materials to your job site, we are sure to have the proper handler for your application. Auto DismantlerThe BuiltriteTM, Auto Dismantling System is designed to quickly and efficiently dismantle automobiles, removing valuable alloys from en-gines, transmissions, radiators, heater cores, air conditioning units and wiring harnesses, and then readying them for a car crusher or shredder. This system consists of two attachments, the Auto Dismantling Grapple and the Hold Down Arms. It is recommended for 18-22 metric ton exca-vators with at least a two speed travel circuit. Key features and benefits include:

HOLD DOWN ARMS• Mounted directly to the excavator’s main frame and includes a pair of

large bore, high pressure cylinders, capable of applying enough force to crush and hold cars in place.

• Cylinders designed for high pres-sure, continuous use. It is well shrouded to prevent material from damaging the cylinder rod or other components.

Municipal Trash/Waste Grapple

• Designed primarily for road side pick-up.

• Curvature of arms prevents grapple from picking up soil when loading roadside debris.

Design and Installation Expertise

Customer Support

A successful installation and happy customer starts with good planning. Our seasoned sales and design staff will gather information from the customer, initially over the phone, and many times in more complicated applications, we will fly out to the customer’s site to gather measurements and find out exactly what ex-pectations he or she has for our equipment.

Prior to building a product, detailed drawings are provided to the customer for sign off. Then, after the product is completed and shipped, we will again go to the job site and aid in installation (for Stationary Elec-tric Material Handlers).

We know that no matter how good a product is, it is only as good as the support it re-ceives after the sale. From repairs to parts support, we will gather the information and respond to you in a professional and timely manner.

Do you own a piece of equipment not manufactured by us? No problem. In many cases, we can track down the necessary part for you. We carry a large inventory of spare parts for all of our equipment as well as for other OEM manufacturer’s loaders and material handlers.
