Welcome to Mater Dei High School!
We are happy to welcome our new, and welcome back our returning international students from China, Vietnam, Mexico, Korea, Japan, and Thailand!
Re-Imagined Library
Thanks to the Fund-A-Need appeal at the 21st Annual All-School Auction, which raised over $160,000, MDHS has updated and upgraded our library! The new library and “Learning Commons” is a state-of-the-art, comfortable space where students can discover, create and collaborate with peers--a space that inspires them to be more productive and successful. The Library is open Monday-Thursday from 7:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Fridays from 7:15 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Muth Family Learning Center, located adjacent to the library provides a quiet space for students to work and study. It provides programs such as the Academic Assistance Program (AAP) which offers free teacher tutorials to students before or after school. Students sign up for this tutoring service through their academic counselors. All major subjects are covered. If students consistently use this tutorial service, their grades may improve. We ask parents to motivate their students to utilize this service.

All School Mass of the Holy Spirit
All School Welcome Rally
On September 6, students participated in our first all school Mass of the year. This may be a first experience for many of our new students. Once a month, students, faculty, and staff come together to celebrate Mass. Mater Dei is excited to share this experience with all of our new domestic and international students. This year, Mater Dei is happy to welcome Father John Neneman to the MD community. Father John is the school’s Rector Chaplain.
Students were welcomed back to school by our ASB cabinet members in a Pixar themed spirit rally! The student body enjoyed performances by our cheer and dance teams, Improv Comedy performers, choir members, and band. Students also joined in on some friendly class competition through interactive games with one another.

Mater Dei High School is dedicated to the development of the whole person: spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and aesthetic. Each student is challenged by a college preparatory curriculum and encouraged to reach his or her full potential through extensive co-curricular and extra-curricular programs. It is the hope of Mater Dei High School to graduate students who become leaders, committed to serving God and society with a profound sense of social justice, founded in love.
Mater Dei High School provides students with a vast number of opportunities to get involved. Co-curricular courses such as 2D and 3D visual arts, band, choir, performing arts, are available for students to take during the day as electives. Join in on afterschool extra-curricular activities such as sports, dance, clubs, Campus Ministry, and ASB. These are great ways to form friendships, gain new skills, and expand existing ones. We hope students take advantage of these opportunities!
