Rotary Encoder & Numerical Keyboard:Rotate the encoder to select any field.•Press the encoder to confirm your selection •(the cursor will blink).Rotate the encoder to change the selected field •or numerical value (ch, freq., etc...).To activate the numerical keyboard, press and hold •the encoder for 2 seconds, then you can directly key in any value.

DISH ALIGNMENTPress the PLAN key and select a satellite. If you do not need to change satellite you can skip this step…

Press the SAT Finder Key and “START?” the dish alignment… When the meter finds the satellite it will beep and show the measurement display.

SMART SOFTWARE: FIRMWARE UPGRADE

INSTALL SMART: download from ROVER’s web site the compressed SMART file to your PC (www.roverinstruments.com).Uncompress and run the “setup .exe” file to complete your installation.

FIRMWARE UPGRADE: - download the latest firmware version from ROVER’s web site,- connect your meter to a PC using the supplied USB cable and turn it on,- click the icon on your PC desktop to start the SMART.

Press the button on the SMART menu bar and select the new firmware to up-grade your meter (A-B-C-D):

MER Modulation Error Rate. Measures all signal impairments.

N. MAR Noise MARgin. This is the value by which a signal exceeds the MINIMUM accepted threshold for a good installation.

QUALITY Digital quality measurement: PASS - MARGINAL - FAIL.

aBER Bit Error Rate after error correction (Viterbi).

bBER Bit Error Rate before error correction (Viterbi).

PER Packet Error Rate. Bad Bit packet measurement (only for DVB-S2).

CONSTELLATION Graphic representation of a digital modulation.

ECHO Digital Echo measurement (only COFDM).
