Your MFin ExperienceOur 20-month program allows you to maximize your learning experience while minimizing your time away from work. We begin each year in September with pre-program activities designed to get students back into an academic mindset. Regular classes take place part-time every Wednesday evening and full days every other Saturday. To accommodate long weekends, some classes are on consecutive Saturdays.

The Lab has 65 dual flat panel stations equipped with Thomson-Reuters Eikon platform, S&P Capital IQ, real-time data feeds, three Bloomberg terminals, and two media/data walls. The Lab offers a growing stack of custom-designed applications software for simulation-based training, financial research and strategic decision-making.

Rotman Interactive TraderThis breakthrough tool developed at the Rotman School uses simula-tion-based learning to teach different types of investment, trading, and hedging strategies. Participants tackle various investment challenges in a real-time trading environment. The software supports equity, fixed income, and derivatives products, and introduces students to case studies that test their ability to apply theory to practical situations.

Rotman Portfolio ManagerThe Rotman Portfolio Manager is a sophisti-cated portfolio and risk management platform that links to the real-time data feeds in the Lab. The platform allows students to purchase and sell stocks, options, futures and fixed income investments from North American markets on a secure platform virtually identical to those used by finance professionals on Bay Street and Wall Street.
