Master of the Lodge, Cliff Massey
In April, 2015 Brother Cliff Massey was duly elected Worshipful Master
of John T. Maxey Lodge No. 74. Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand
Lodge, Texas and its Jurisdiction. The members of John T. Maxey
Lodge No. 74 are proud to present the master of the lodge and share a
brief biography of our Military Mason.
Worshipful Master Massey petitioned Keystone Lodge No. 40 in Kokomo
Indiana October 1989 and was duly obligated a Master Mason December,
1989 in that same Lodge. His Lodge memberships included Anchor and Ark
Military Lodge # 64, Kunsan Air Base Korea, Oklahoma Jurisdiction, Ernest
W. Lyons Lodge No. 107, Maryland Jurisdiction, 12th Masonic District,
located in Kaiserslautern Germany; where he was duly elected and installed
as Worshipful Master in May, 2002. He was recognized Master Mason of the Year, 12th
Masonic District in 2001 and Worshipful Master of the Year in 2002. He became a member
of Henry Beck Lodge No. 307, Most Worshipful Stringer Grand Lodge of Mississippi in 2003.
Brother Massey was an Associate member of Otis Hopkins Military Lodge No. 10, Osan Air
Base Korea before demitting into John T. Maxey Lodge No. 74 in 2012.
Worshipful Master Massey’s other Masonic affiliations included membership in Guiding Star
Chapter No. 69 Order of the Eastern Star, Maryland and its Jurisdiction. He was elevated to
the 32° of a Sublime Prince of the Royal Secret in Charles A. Spikes Military Consistory No.
323, Prince Hall Affiliated, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Freemasonry, Southern
Jurisdiction, August 2000 where he was recognized Sublime Prince of the Year in 2002..

Worshipful Master Massey was born in Detroit Michigan. He is a 30-year
retired Chief Master Sergeant of the United States Air Force. His military
travels sent him on assignments to McChord Air Force Base,
Washington, Comiso Air Station Sicily, Clark Air Base Philippines,
Chanute Air Force Base Illinois, Grissiom Air Force Base Indiana, Kunsan
Air Base Korea, Ramstein Air Base Germany, Shaw Air Force Base
South Carolina, a return to Ramstein Air Base in 1998, Keesler Air Force
Base, Mississippi, Osan Air Base, Korea and he retired from Lackland Air
Force Base, Texas in March 2011.
Worshipful Master Massey is married to the former Brenda
Burnett, a Chief Master Sergeant (Retired USAF) of Henning,
Tennessee. They are blessed with two children: Jasmin Massey and a new Master Mason, Brother Aaron Massey.

Willie High Coleman, Jr., is a native Houstonian . He is the oldest son of Willie and Zula
Coleman. His father worked 33 years in a steel mill and his mother was a nurse's assistant. Willie is a product of the Houston Independent School District and graduated in the top 10% of his class from Kashmere High School in 1972 at the age of 16. Willie initially attended Texas Southern University for two years and then made the personal decision to volunteer for duty in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam conflict. Willie worked as a computer operator on a nuclear missile site and attained his highest available rank within 9 months . He served two years in the military stationed in Louisiana, Texas, South Korea and Florida. After receiving his Honorable Discharge, Willie returned to Houston and began working as a clerk for the United States Postal Service. While working, Willie reenrolled in Texas Southern University graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. Two days after graduation Willie enrolled at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University. While in law school Willie was elected
President of his law school class and served on the Student Government Board. Upon graduation in 1981, Willie and his law school class mate, Randy Bates, founded the law firm Bates & Coleman, P.C. Since 1981, the Finn has progressively grown in stature and now holds the distinction of being the oldest African-American Legal Partnership in the City of Houston and probably Texas.. The Firm concentrates its practice in the disciplines of Public Finance and Civil and Business Litigation.
Professionally accomplished, Willie is also a recognized community leader in the City of Houston. He has served
as a Director, Secretary-Treasurer, Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the Board of the North Houston Greenspoint Chamber of Commerce. He has served as a member of the North Houston Bank Business Development Board. He is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and has served on the Advisory Board of Foster Grandparents, a United Way Agency. He was one of only 23 lawyers selected in 1988 and subsequently served seven years as a substitute County Criminal Court Judge presiding over the Courts when elected Judges were unavailable to serve. He currently serves as General Counsel for The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Masons of Texas and Jurisdictions, the United Supreme Council Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Free Masons Southern Jurisdiction, Prince Hall Affiliated, the Southwest Region of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Willie has served on the Board of Directors of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Texas since 1994. He is a Past Grand Junior Warden and Past Grand Senior Warden and was appointed Chairman of the Prince Hall Charitable Foundation of Texas in 2008. Willie is a member of Goodwill Consistory 238 and has served as 2nd Lt Commander, 1st Lt. Commander and Commander in Chief. Willie is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity where he has served as President of the Houston and Texas/New Mexico Chapters, Alumni Board Member for the Southwest Region representing Texas and New Mexico, twelve years as a member and eight years as Chairman of the National Achievement Commission for the Fraternity and four years as chairman of the Laurel Wreath Commission. On August 5, 2009, Willie was presented Kappa's second highest award, the Elder Watson Diggs Award, in recognition of his achievements in his career and his contributions to his community. Willie has the least tenure in the fraternity of anyone who has received the award. In 2007 Willie was elected as President of the Southwest Education and Leadership Training Foundation He is a founding member of 100 Black Men of Metropolitan Houston. Willie was also appointed by the Houston City Council to serve on Tax Reinvestment Zone No. 11, where he was elected Chairman overseeing a budget of $750,000,000 .00. The Mayor and City Council recently appointed Willie as a member of the Midtown Management District, a political subdivision, that monitors and manages urban development. Willie currently serves as Assistant Chairman of the Board of Deacons at New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and teaches an Orientation class in Sunday school.
Willie is the proud father of Alexia Ryann Coleman, a University of Oklahoma graduate with a degree in
Industrial Engineering. Alexia changed her name and gave him a son when she married Jeremy “Pete” Sims.
