Curriculum

The MPP program emphasizes a combination of rigorous academic exploration,

sequenced development of professional competencies, and real-world application.

Courses emphasize the:

• Foundations of public action based on statutes and regulations

• Analysis, design, and implementation of public policies

• Use of qualitative and quantitative research methods

• Competencies in strategic leadership and systematic change

• Areas of concentration suited to your interests and expertise

Faculty

McGeorge School’s MPP faculty have decades of experience in policy analysis, policy

design, financing and implementation directed at complex public problems. Areas of

expertise include water and environmental policies, governance and public finance,

public and nonprofit leadership and—more fundamentally—enhancing societal

capacity for effective, sustained action.

Tuition and Financing

Tuition and fees are set annually. The per unit graduate tuition rate for the 2019-20

academic year is $1,346 plus applicable fees.

Scholarships awarded by the program are available. Graduate students who are U.S.

citizens or eligible non-citizens may apply for federal student loans. Please contact

our Office of Financial Aid for more information about financing options.

The admission process involves a

holistic review of each applicant’s

background, experience, and goals.
