2015 Will County CED
Government Affairs:
Annual CED Washington D.C. fly-in to lobby Senators,
representatives and agency heads on Will County issues;
CED testimony to a key U.S. Sub-Committee on freight,
recommending special funding for multi-modal freight
project funding for economic centers like Will County;
CED testimony to the State Legislature on Economic
Development and Intermodal projects;
Regular meetings with local elected and appointed officials
to provide assistance on economic development issues and
projects.
2015 Will County CED
Infrastructure Program:
Adopted the new 2015 Will County Transportation Blueprint;
Continued support for the Inland Port development (Walter
Strawn Road, Houbolt Bridge, Rte. 53 / I-80 / Laraway Road);
Keeping the Illiana and the South Suburban Airport alive;
Renewed focus on I-80 widening, I-55 reconstruction /
widening, new Des Plaines River Bridges;
CED Support to complete Weber Road & Rte. 6 / I-55
interchanges, Stuenkel Road / I-57 interchange;
Launched the Will County Freight Advisory Council.

CED Events and Conferences:
In April hosted a Economic Report on Will County Retail
Development – Trends and Opportunities;
In June hosted the Eye-Opener Breakfast with the Will
County State of Economic Development Report and kicked
off the 2020 Vision: Quality Jobs, Quality Future funding
campaign;
In September hosted the 9th Annual Global Logistics
Summit;
And of course, today’s Annual Report to Investors.
