Asset management represents a significantly greater scope than just maintenance or care of physical assets, and is closer to the central purpose of an organization. It is a synergy between technical and management activities such as RAMS analyses, Risk Management, Mana- gement of Operations & Maintenance, in order to optimise the conflicting priorities of asset utilization and asset care, of short term performance opportunities and long-term sustainability, and between capital invest- ments and subsequent operating costs, risks and performance along assets lifecycle and related factors such as design, utilization, maintenance, obsolescence, etc. JOB OPPORTUNITIES The Master prepares Specialists that must be able to integrate and extend to a wider scenario the skills that traditionally are covered by • RAMS Engineers • Operations Engineers • Maintenance Engineers • Facility managers. Occupational rate of a similar iniziative made in 2013/2014: 100% employed students ADVANTAGES FOR COMPANIES AND DIDACTICAL METHODOLOGY Companies are proposed an innovative approach to: • Select and train their engineers with high quality didactics • Ensure a high professional level to be used for major projects • Contribute to the enrichment of the company know-how The company selects and sponsors one or more participants autonomously within their employees/con- tacts or from a proposed list of pre-selected candidates by SUPSI and RAMS&E; in this way a contribute to MASIEO is given. The company will host for a period of about 11 months the participant/s to realize the project work on the field. Every participant will be tutored by highly professional experts from SUPSI or RAMS&E. The didactic methodology is strongly oriented to the “training on the job”: it guarantees to the company a concrete feedback highly orientated to a practical application, with the development of immediately working solutions since the beginning of the course. The training programme will have an overall duration of 12 months for a total amount of 1720 hours and 60 credits from February 2015 to January 2016. The course attendance is mandatory and implies full time engagement: - lectures: 600 hours, divided on one week a month from Monday to Friday - project work in the company: 1120 hours, three weeks a month. WHO CAN ATTEND THE SELECTION Graduates (Bachelor) in Engineering. Graduates in Physics, Industrial Chemistry, Mathematics, Business Economics or similar will be evaluated on the basis of their curriculum. Company and Public Administration employees interested in further specialize their training, could also be admitted-if not graduated- on the basis of the evaluation of their personal file. The selection will be made by a proper Selection Committee including the Director and Vice-Director of the course. Selection of neo-graduates, verified they possess the necessary degree and pre-required knowledge to access the course, will be made by companies, according to their needs. The didactical methodology applied in the course is suitable both for neo-graduates then professionals with experience.
