Presentation:

MAST is an offi cial international Master Degree that provides advanced training in the sciences and technology that are most used in the fi elds of aeronautics and space. It includes the study of theoretical and practical groundwork, techniques, methods and processes of current use in aerospace research.

MAST is organized by Castelldefels School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering, Terrassa School of Industrial and Aeronautical Engineering and Aeronautical and Space Science Research Centre in collaboration with Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Baie, CTAE, Centre National d’Études Spatiales, European Space Agency, Institute for Space Studies of Catalonia, Institute of Geomatics, Indra and other national as well as international aerospace companies and research institutions.

Who is it for:

University graduates in MAST is addressed to Bachelor degrees in scientifi c disciplines (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geology), engineering disciplines (such as Aeronautics, Industrial, Telecommunications, Mechanical), and Technical Aeronautical Engineering

Career prospects:

Design, develop and manage aerospace systems and projects.

Create or innovate on products, systems and processes in accordance with regulatory and environmental guidelines.

Carry out advanced research in international R&D divisions in the aerospace fi eld, approach research problems consistently and with good scientifi c working methods oriented to a doctoral thesis.

Content and programme structure:

It has a load of 90 ECTS (three semesters). Cross-disciplinary skills are:

# Use computers and scientifi c instruments competently.

# Make a critical assessment of personal scientifi c projects or those of others and carry out research using scientifi c documents.

# Work in teams.

# Communicate verbally and in writing in English in relation to a research project.

# Adapt to new scientifi c or technological challenges, not necessarily in the fi eld studied.

# Show respect for ethics and intellectual integrity, together with sensitivity to environmental matters.
