The Community Foundation for Surrey is a charity which

inspires philanthropy to help enable local giving for local needs. Despite

Surrey’s reputation as an affluent county, there are significant and growing needs

facing our communities, and we support hundreds of voluntary sector groups each

year who bring forward solutions and make a real difference locally.

Friends of the Community Foundation for Surrey make an annual gift, starting from £1,000, for a minimum of three years.

Gift Aid could also add a further 25% to your donation.

Your support allows the Community Foundation for Surrey to continue making a sustainable,

lasting difference to tens of thousands of people across our county – thank you!

Artventure Trust work alongside adults with varying degrees of learning

difficulties, enabling them to be creative, have fun and make friends in a

friendly and supportive environment. Funding from the Community

Foundation enabled further creative sessions that are designed to

improve self-expression, develop skills and enhance self-esteem, while

encouraging a sense of achievement.

Stripey Stork collect donations of toys, clothes and other essential

items for babies and children and rehome them with local families

experiencing hardship. A grant from the Community Foundation

enabled 100 Stork Sacks (rucksacks filled with items including

stationery, books, toys and toiletries) to go to children aged 3 to 12

years old that were survivors of modern slavery.

We are seeking Friends who can partner with us by contributing £1,000 per year to support the day-to-day

essential resources of running the Community Foundation. Our Friends scheme gives you the opportunity

to support Surrey communities in a simple but effective way; by giving to the Community Foundation, you

enable us to strengthen and grow the vital work we support across the county. We award over 300 grants

annually – in 2018/19 this totalled £1.4 million and this number is growing quickly each year. Your help will

allow us to do even more for Surrey, and the need is more important now than ever.
