una storia millenaria, fatta di popoli e dei loro destini in transito, sin dai tempi precedenti agli Antichi Romani. Le Terrazze su Agnone creano un ponte immaginario nel tempo e nello spazio, che traguarda da una estremità i molteplici aspetti storico-architettonici di una cultura materiale autoctona ed all’altra estremità un ambiente immacolato che abbraccia totalmente il tessuto del borgo storico. Le “Terrazze su Agnone” estendono il concetto di B&B e di Turismo Rurale oltre le mura del centro storico di Agnone e della sua campagna per permettere al viaggiatore colto e stimolabile di vivere in pieno l’autenticità della storia locale, amalgamata nei secoli tra la campagna, l’arte ed i commerci. The Concept

Agnone and its surroundings protect untouched the signs of a wealthy artisan and rural tradition. This culture shaped the lives among these lands,

rooted in a millennial history that was built by the people and their transiting destinies, ever since the Ancient Romans. The Terraces over Agnone throws an imaginary bridge across time and space, which overlooks the multiple historic and architectural aspects of a material, autochthonous culture from one end and gazes from the other at an immaculate nature surrounding the fabric of an historic village. The Terraces over Agnone extends both the concepts of B&B and Rural Tourism beyond the limits of the historical downtown of Agnone and its countryside. This allows a motivated tourist to live in full the authenticity of the local history that was merged across the centuries between the trades, the arts and the countryside. Il B&B Borgo San Pietro vi invita a vivere il fascino di Agnone, perla architettonica e capitale naturale dell’Alto Molise. Per descrivere le bellezze artistiche

e la storia millenaria che si respira tra le belle vie e piazze della città bisogna lasciarsi trasportare dallo sguardo, che indugia ora su portali in pietra e balconi dalle splendide ringhiere, ora si solleva a contemplare bei campanili, ora induce ad entrare nelle magnifiche chiese che trasudano storia ed arte. Ammirazione particolare destano le viuzze, i vicoletti del nucleo primitivo, adornati da leoni rampanti, da portoni con lavorate ed eleganti chiavi di volta e numerose caratteristiche botteghe veneziane, usate dai non pochi orafi che appresero l’arte della filigrana dai veneziani nell’XI secolo. Ma il vero e proprio simbolo della città è l’antica Fonderia Marinelli, in cui si producono campane per le più prestigiose chiese del mondo.

Il B&B Borgo San Pietro è situato al centro di questo vero e proprio museo a cielo aperto. Sarete ospitati in stanze ed appartamenti ricavati in palazzi del ‘900, finemente ristrutturati. Abili artigiani locali hanno saputo riportare alla luce mura ed archi in pietra, hanno sapientemente riutilizzato i pavimenti originali (chianche) e restaurato il mobilio esistente. Ogni minuzia rispetta lo stile rurale di questi posti, ma ornato da ulteriori raffinati dettagli, quali lettiere in ferro battuto di inizio secolo e preziosi tendaggi. experience the artistic magnificence and thousands of years of rural and craftsmanship history while wandering through the dazzling streets and squares of Agnone. Let yourself go and admire marble portals and balconies with magnificent railings, outstanding bell towers and churches that spell out history and craftsmanship. Narrow streets and awesome alleys inside the historical downtown are adorned by raging lions carved in stone, handmade doors and ancient workshops where local gold craftsmen learned the art of filigree making from the Venetians of the XI century. However, the real town trademark is the ancient Marinellis’ foundry where the most prestigious bells are produced for many, many churches located worldwide.

The B&B Borgo San Pietro is located amid this exceptional outdoor museum. You will be accommodated in rooms and apartments that have been delicately renovated within two palaces dating back to the early 20th century. Talented local craftsmen were able to bring the stone walls and brick arches to a new life, they skillfully rescued the original flooring (chianche) and refurbished the existing furniture. Every little detail respects the local rural style. The rooms are embellished by hammered-iron bed frames and precious drapes from the beginning of the century. Masseria Santa Lucia è una caratteristica casa colonica della campagna Molisana, immersa nel verde delle colline circostanti l’abitato di

Agnone (“Bandiera Arancione” marchio di qualità turistico ambientale per l’entroterra), a 30 min sia dalle spiagge dalla costiera adriatica sia dalle montagne più alte e spettacolari del centro Italia (Parco Nazionale della Majella e Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise).Masseria Santa Lucia è una finestra aperta a 360 gradi sui paesaggi agnonesi e dalla sua terrazza fiorita si possono ammirare scenari di incomparabile bellezza, albe mozzafiato e tramonti indimenticabili alle spalle dei bastioni rocciosi che ospitano resti di orgogliose civiltà ancestrali.Masseria Santa Lucia ha subito una modifica dell’impianto iniziale, tuttavia mantenendone le caratteristiche essenziali e conservando alcune peculiarità ed elementi architettonici originali. La ristrutturazione ha prestato particolare attenzione a tutti quei particolari che assicurassero una perfetta continuità tra tradizione e modernità. Gli ambienti sono stati arricchiti con oggetti propri della cultura rurale e dell’artigianato locale. Gli utensili in ferro lavorato, caldai in rame battuto ed archi in pietra, tutti di tradizione familiare, fanno si che gli ospiti si sentano accolti da quel calore e familiarità proprie della quotidianità delle genti di campagna.

Gli ospiti di Masseria Santa Lucia possono scegliere tra appartamenti, da quattro posti letto ciascuno e completi di tutti i comfort. Sono inoltre disponibili un bilocale ed ulteriori due camere doppie, per un totale da 14 a 20 posti letto. Tutti gli ambienti hanno un comodo accesso alla piscina ed ai giardini circostanti ed è disponibile un comodo parcheggio.Incornicia il tutto la cordiale accoglienza della famiglia Galasso. I proprietari stessi accolgono gli ospiti per la cena nella taverna. Qui vengono serviti menù variegati, orientati sulla più genuina gastronomia locale. Masseria Santa Lucia is located within a 30 minutes drive to both the sandy beaches of the Adriatic coast and some of the most spectacular mountains of central Italy (National Park of Majella as well as National Park of Abruzzi, Lazio and Molise). Masseria Santa Lucia offers a 360 outlook on the Agnone surroundings. You can admire matchless sceneries from our bloomed terrace as well as breathtaking dawns and unforgettable sunsets behind the cliffs that hide the remnants of powerful ancient civilizations.Masseria Santa Lucia underwent a partial restructuring in recent years, although it kept its essential features as well as some original traits of architecture. The careful renovation ensured a seamless continuity between local tradition and modernity. The living spaces have been adorned with the tools of the rural culture and the local artisanship. Hammered-iron utensils, coppers caldrons and stone-carved arches, all belonging to the Galassos’ tradition, friendly welcome the guests in an atmosphere that closely feels as intimate as the daily life of rural areas.

The property features three cozy apartments, each accommodating four people and fully equipped with all comforts. Guests can also choose among one bilocal and two extra double bedrooms. Total accommodation ranges between 14 and 20 people. All the units have independent access to the swimming pool and the surrounding garden. Parking is also available, detached and quiet.The Galasso family offers a truly warm Italian family atmosphere. The owners personally greet the guests in the tavern. The daily menus are diverse and oriented to the most genuine local gastronomy. The meals are accompanied by wine, olive oil and produce, which are all received from the organic soil at Masseria Santa Lucia.

On F.V. Trigno (SS650), at km 26th coming from Isernia or at km 28th com-ing from Vasto, take the exit to Agnone. On Fondovalle Verrino, immedi-ately after km 9th bear left and follo signs to Masseria Santa Lucia. You’ll find us at number 23 A, ready to receive you.
