The 2020 Bishop’s Annual Appeal funds more than
40 ministries in the areas of charity, evangelization
and worship. The Bishop’s Annual Appeal impacts
each Parishioner and visitor to our Diocese every
week through the area of worship. In addition to the
ongoing formation of the Priests and Deacons cur-
rently serving in our Diocese, the Bishop’s Annual
Appeal funds nearly the entire amount needed to ed-
ucate our future Priests. There are currently 24 Semi-
narians in Priestly formation for the Diocese. The
Bishop’s Annual Appeal also funds six college Cam-
pus Ministry Centers. College campuses have an av-
erage Catholic population of 28%, but receive no
funding from non-Catholic institutions. Without the
Bishop’s Annual Appeal, there would be no oppor-
tunity for our college age youth to practice their reli-
gion or learn about the Catholic faith for the first
time. This support is incredibly important because
participation at these Catholic Campus Ministries is
at an all-time high. Overall, the Bishop’s Annual Ap-
peal will provide over $7 million in the upcoming
year to help those in physical and spiritual need. You
are invited to learn more through the Parish, in to-
day’s bulletin insert or online at Bishop’s Annual Ap-
peal.DioceseOfRaleigh.org. Thank you for your par-
ticipation
Update on Sister Edna English, DW. Long-time pa-
rishioner, Sister Edna English, DW, will be moving soon,
possibly during the first week of March, to
the Daughters of Wisdom retirement center in Sound
Beach, New York. You can visit her before she moves at
the Macgregor Downs Health and Rehabilitation Center,
2910 MacGregor Downs Rd, in Greenville. Sister Edna
says the best time to visit is in the afternoons, after
1:00 PM. If you cannot visit but would like to send Sr.
Edna your regards, we will have her new address available
in the office at a later date.
"The Bilingual Choir will begin rehearsals for Holy
Week on Tuesday evening, March 3 at 7:30 PM. Rehears-
als will continue throughout March on Wednesday eve-
nings at the same time. Anyone interested in singing for
Holy Thursday, Good Friday, or the Easter Vigil should
attend these rehearsals. All ages are welcome."

in honor of the Gondrez Family. If you would like to
sponsor the lamp for a week in memory of a loved one,
please call the office to schedule.

The Project Rachel ministry assists women and men who have been wounded by abortion to find healing and peace. There is a support group beginning in the Triangle area in late March, followed by a retreat in June 2020. If you have experienced an abortion and would like (strictly confiden-tial) information about the support group, contact Project Rachel at (919) 852-1021 or email: [email protected], or visit the website: http://projectrachelnc.org/ Calls and appointments are kept strictly confidential.
