Mass Intentions
for the Week
FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT
Jesus Christ and Advent – Jesus Christ is the center of our lives. So, too, Jesus Christ is the center of our worship. Indeed, every aspect of our liturgy helps to unfold the mystery of Christ in our lives.
This Tuesday, December 3 at 7:00p in the parish center, parishioner and catechist, Mary Canarecci, will explore the season of Advent and the liturgical year. We’ll talk about how the liturgy helps us to participate in the mystery of Christ. And, everyone will get a beautiful liturgical calendar! If you’d like to better understand Advent and the liturgical year, receive a liturgical calendar, and meet those who wish to become members of the Church, please join us on Tuesday night. Contact Rita at [email protected] or 812.232.8421, ext. 112, if you’d like to be part of our discussion this Tuesday.

Liturgical Ministers Needed

118 or e-mail her at [email protected]. We could especially use more Eucharistic ministers, servers, and greeters! Thank you for volunteering to help our parish worship our loving God. Also, we need to increase our pool of volunteers to help fulfill ministry positions for funerals, when the family is unable to do so. We will provide training if needed. Please contact Kathy if you are available to help.
Volunteer Needed The Church Environment Group is looking for someone to help water the plants/flowers in church. The greatest need is during the Christmas season and Easter season. If you are interested, please call the office and leave a message for Kathy at 812-232-8421,
Would you like to give more time to God, but wonder how to do that when your life is so busy? Do you long for holiness, and feel a need for support in growing spiritually? Perhaps your
heart has been moved by stories of St. Francis of Assisi, or the Peace Prayer attributed to him, and you are seeking that same holy simplicity, true peace and perfect joy? If so, Christ may be calling you to explore the Secular Franciscan life. We would be happy to meet with you to share about the Franciscan journey. We invite you to contact us! We meet every third Sunday at St Joseph University Parish Hall at 12:45 p.m. For more information contact Carlos Montanez at 812-241-5409.
