Cleanliness is next to Godliness

As the Flu and allergy season is upon us please notice that we have placed Hand Sanitizer in the Vestibule. Together we can keep our congregation healthy through-out the winter season.

Commemorative Mass Association We continue to accept Commemorative Mass Associa-tion enrollments and renewals. The Association is for parishioners and friends to remember their loved ones at 19 special Masses throughout the year. Annual Member-ship dues to enroll a member are $50. Please pick up an enrollment form on the bulletin table.

The Good Samaritan Center is asking for donations of jelly in February.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS will serve a baked fish and shr imp dinner at 6:00 p.m on Jan. 27th. The cost is $11.00. Call 304-428-0331 for take out orders.

Adult Education Series: Our next Pivotal Player will be Blessed John Henry Newman on February 5 and 12. Mark your calendars now. St Michael Women’s Study Group: The Bible Study for the winter is Living in the Power of the Holy Spirit The study runs 9 weeks but each session stands alone so plan on joining us for all or some of the classes. Parish School of Religion: Today is the 4th Sunday in Ordinary Time. Jesus begins His Sermon on the Mount with the Beatitudes. Take some time this week to reread the Beatitudes, and meditate on their meaning.

St. Michael Youth Group: We meet tonight, Jan 29, at 6:00 pm. Final preparation for the Youth Mass on Feb. 5.

The SOUPER BOWL of Caring Feb. 5. Please consider a donation in the soup pot after our Masses today. All donations support the Good Samaritan Center where the money will be used for people who need help with food

and utilities. In 2016 the Center helped 288 families with utilities and 1044 families with food.

Catholic Schools Week is January 29th through February 3rd. Please see the insert for planned activities.
