Brethren,
As with any register such as this, if it not kept up to date, it loses its credibility and its
usefulness. Whilst making every effort myself to verify the contents, I would very much
welcome the assistance of every user too. If you know of any errors or of any additions that
could usefully be made or of any speaker or demonstration team, please let me know. The
register will only be as good as the information it contains.
I am sure it goes without saying, but to avoid any misunderstandings, Lecturers, Speakers &
Demonstration Teams should be treated as honoured guests by the Lodges, Chapters and
other Masonic Groups they are invited to address. In every case it is assumed that the
individuals will be wined and dined by the host organisation in addition to any expenses
stated. They are, after all giving of their time and knowledge for our benefit and pleasure.
Please also assist them, if necessary, with unloading & reloading of their equipment.
It is the hope of the Trustees that the Kent Masonic Library & Museum will, through this and
other publications, add to the knowledge of Freemasonry and thereby add to the enjoyment
and understanding of its members.

Kent Masonic Museum and Library
The contents of the Museum and Library are available to all those who wish to browse,
study or research Masonic history.
Many items are on show: -
* The large Stained Glass Windows, Monogrammed Chairs and Doors from the Old Grand
Library in the Old Freemason’s Hall, London.
* A fine collection of Masonic Paintings, Glassware and Porcelain.
* The Cornwallis Collection, including Presentation Items and Documents.
* The vast collection of Masonic Regalia.
* The Library of Books covering all aspects and degrees of Freemasonry through the ages.
For those who wish to study or research, there is now a Lending Facility. This will
allow you to borrow certain books to further your Masonic Education in the comfort of
your own accommodation. Details of this are available at the Library.
There are trained Assistants in attendance during opening hours, to guide and answer
questions. If you are interested in becoming a museum volunteer and help inform the wider
world about Freemasonry, please call. A commitment, typically, of one day each month is
all that is required. New volunteers will receive an introduction to the role and will work
alongside those with more experience.
Open every day
(except Religious Holidays and the Christmas - New Year Break)
1000 to 1600
Tel: 01227 785625
However, as we are reliant on volunteers, if your journey is more than a local one
please phone ahead to check that we are open.
