    WPI Index- A Fuss

According to WPI index, if the

    price of a certain commodity

stood at Rs. 5 in 2004, the priceof the same would have been Rs.

6.75 now. Dont we need a pinch

    of salt to swallow this.

Does rate of inflation speak the

truth ? Can it explain the price of

    onion at Rs.70 a kilo?

    War Diary

    Recession came due to sub-

    prime crisis - an eye-wash.

    In true sense sub-prime crisis

is a symptom of recession and

not the cause of the same.

    Broken Wings

Due to easing of tension both in Europeand America, the market of waringredients like fighter air crafts, IRBM,

    ICBM, squeezed like anything.

It meant huge revenue loss, but sincethe guardians of United Nation are least

likely to confess this barbaric truthabout them they tried and escape routeto save the skin in the name of sub-prime crisis.

    anything from the days of

    colonialism.

Still we fight amongst us. The

    conflicts in between South-North

    Korea, China-Vietnam, India-

    Pakistan, due to some vested

    interests from within and outside,

    still continue with military zeal.

    Azim Premjis observation onelementary education

40 million children in the age group 6-14 years who are out ofschool. Only one out of three children ends up completing 10 years ofeducation Elementary education system in the country suffers from twoproblemsone, availability of quality school infrastructure that is, classrooms, toilets, teachers, teaching-learningmaterial, etc, and two, most of the children are not learning atthe deep level and schools are not really helping every childto discover and realize his potential. Central government has made the commitment to raise theinvestment in primary education to 6% of GDP. Reform the curriculum in such a way that it encourages deeplearning among the children.
