In early days, Education in India was highly

subsidized, but no more now. It is drifting slowly

towards western culture where education is not

subsidized and students have to fend for

themselves since the parents have difficulty in

supporting their children education financially. It

is with this understanding of constraints that the

Institute proposes to undertake pre-emptive

action through a philosophy “earn while you learn” by assigning small projects to students during their

free time. This tradition has been a huge success in USA and we see no reason why it cannot be a success

here. Hence the trustees of Raj Narayan Memorial Trust would like to reiterate their Vision, Mission and

Objective:

v Financial burden on students may be minimized.

v They may well enrich themselves with industrial and vocational experience.

v Their confidence level and personality may see a sea of change.

Towards achieving these objectives the trustees propose to utilize their company resources to train the

talented students in the first six months on live software projects that the company may be performing.

After that they may be put into the development projects. The revenue so generated through their efforts

will be utilized to distribute among them to meet their need of tuition fees, hostel charges, mess bills, etc.

As this may be a trial scheme, the success of it will depend on its outcome.

Notwithstanding what has been stated above, the main objective of the institute is to provide “World class

Education at much lower Cost”. The students passing out thus will be equipped with a solid technical

knowledge and personality that will make them stand out and enable them to be a successful technocrats,

managers and entrepreneurs. The expert and dedicated faculty members and technical staff, state of the

art infrastructure and the last but not the least ‘Vision’ of the Trustees and Management, together I am

sure, is going to achieve much more in our endeavor “providing best education at reasonable cost”.

I wish all the success in students endeavor and hope their stay at MITM for four years will be rewarding and

satisfying. At the end let me reassure our wards / family members that all cares will be taken to make their

stay with us pleasurable and happy.

The Academic Block with 80,000 Sqft of build up area has fully ventilated and lit

up Class rooms, Tutorial rooms, Laboratories, Workshop, Library, Computer rooms, Drawing hall,

cafeteria, Boy’s and Girl’s common rooms and administrative blocks etc.

The class room are build as per AICTE specification. These are provided with modern

facilities for lecturing like over head projectors and smart boards to make learning purposeful.

v Computing : The Campus has excellent computing facilities with 300 LCD based 18.5” TFT

Monitors and 500GB HDD & 2 Duo Processor with high speed computing and all of them with Wi-Fi-

Network connectivity are supported with licensed operating systems, applications software and

printers.

v Work Shop and Lab : The workshop and labs are equipped with latest and modern state of the art

machineries, equipments and tools.

attached bathroom) at subsidized rate which provides homely environment to make students feel

comfortable. The food quality is of the highest standards with the MITM management performing

regular quality checks to provide nutritious food to keep the students fit and agile to study better.

Medical facility has been provided with qualified doctors, around the clock ambulance and

tie up with nearby Hospital in emergency.

The Maryland Institute of technology and Management is the brain child of Raj Narayan Memorial Trust.

MITM is located in a serene atmosphere along National Highway 33 leading to Kolkatta from

Jamshedpur. It is situated on Narsinghpur Road, approximately 3 Km from Galudih Chowk (located at

NH33). The institute is spread in approx 20 Acres in the back drop of serene beauty of mountains and

greeneries.

Raj Narayan Memorial Trust (RNMT) was set up in 2008 by a group of technocrats and professionals

settled in USA in the fond memory of their father Late Raj Narayan Choudhary. The mission of the

trustees who have 15 years of experience managing software companies in USA is to provide the

same quality of education as it exists there. The sole objective is to spread quality Technical Education

in India in general and in the state of their origin Jharkhand in particular.
