PrepareTheWaxMeasureoutthewaxyouneed.Belowisatableforreferencetodeterminehowmuchwaxyou’llneed.
Tealights –Approximately1.2oz.makesonetealightcandle.
Votives –Approximately3.2oz.makesonevotivecandle.

PlaceWick
Setpre‐assembledwicksorwickpinsintoeachofthecandlemoldstobereadyforlater.(Don’tspraywiththemoldreleaseyet.)

PrepareDoubleBoiler– MeltWaxPlaceamediumsizedpotontothestove.Fillwithabout1‐2inchesofwater.Placethepouringpitcherintothepotwiththewaxalreadyinit.Heatslowlyuntilallwaxismelted
Note:Thereshouldalwaysbesomewaterinthepot,however,itshouldn’tbetoomuchtocausethepitcherstofloataround.Theweightofthepitcherandthewaxinsideitshouldstopthisfromhappening.

Addcoloringand/orfragranceifdesired.
*Keepinmindthatthecolorwillbedramaticallylighterwhenitdriesthanitiswhenit’sliquid.
*Howmuchfragranceyouaddwilldependonthefragranceyouhavepurchased.Somefragrancesaremuchmorepotent,anddon’tneedasmuchadded.

Eachtypeofcandlehasadifferentidealpouringtemperature.
Hereisaquickreferencetohowhotyourwaxshouldbeforpouringvarioustypesofcandles.

PourTheWaxWhenthewaxhascooledtotheidealtemperaturebasedonwhattypeofcandleitis,itisreadytobepoured.Spraythemoldslightlywithreleasespray.
Foracleanerpour,tiltthemoldorcontainerslightlytowardthepitcher.Pourthewaxallthewaytothetopofthemolduntilitisjustatthetop.Ifyouhaveawickpinorwickinthecandle,besuretokeepitcenteredwhen/afterpouring.

SecondPourBecausethewaxwillconcavenaturally,itisnecessarytoheatuptheremainingwaxandpouroverthecandles(whenmostlyset)inordertomakethetopsasrounded/flataspossible.Letcandlessetfor1hour.Onceyouonlyhaveabout10minutesleft,heatuptheremainingwaxindoubleboiler.Oncetheremainingwaxiscompletelyliquidagain,placethethermometerin.Whenitisatatemperatureof175°F–185°Fpouroverthecandlestothetopofthemold.

RemovingTheCandleFromTheMold
Afterthecandlehascompletelyhardened,youcanremoveitfromthemold.Turnthemoldupsidedownandtapthebottomofthemoldtoreleasethecandle.Thentakethewickpininyourfingersandgently(asnottobreakupthewaxinthecenterofthecandle)wigglethewickpinuntilitpullsoutthecandle.Ifyouusedamoldreleasethenitshouldcomeoutprettyeasily.

PlacingWicksOncethecandlehascooledyoucanremovethewickpins.Afteryou’veremovedthewickpins,placethepre‐tabbedwickinitandbesuretopushitallthewayintosecureit.
