ABOUT THE COLLEGE

STATE OF THE ART INFRASTRUCTURE

MKJC, established in the year 1994, is approved by Govt. of Tamilnadu, and is affiliated to Thiruvalluvar University. It has been re-accredited with "A" grade by the NAAC, Bangalore (UGC recommended) in the year 2013 and certified by BSI as an ISO 9001:2008 certified institution in the year 2011. The institution is "a dream come true" of Sri. Marudhar Kesari, who was a great poet, powerful orator and a champion of social service and public welfare.

The focus of the college is RURAL DEVELOPMENT through women education. The college now offers 12 U.G. courses, 6 P.G. courses and 5 M.Phil. Courses. The college has grown to a strength of 2200 students, 120 teaching staff and 15 administrative staff.

The college is located in Vaniyambadi - Tirupattur Highway in Vellore District. It has a sprawling campus of 25 acres with a built-in area of about 1,39,035 Sq.ft. It is set amidst beautiful sylvan surroundings at the foot of Yelagiri Hills with vast stretches of greenery all around providing a congenial atmosphere for teaching and learning.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Six fully air-conditioned Computer Laboratories with 350 systems in separate U.G / P.G Laboratories with latest configuration and leased line Internet facility. Fully furnished Bio - Chemistry, Bio - Technology, Physics, Interior Design & Decor and Nutrition and Dietetics Lab. Language Lab facility to improve the communication skills.

Comprises of more than 25,000 books, 75 International and National journals and magazines with Collection of old projects, Collection of old University question papers and Research Journals Back volumes in Mathematics and Commerce. Separate library for PG and reading rooms are provided. Open from 9.00 a.m. To 5.30 p.m. Hostellers can use the library till 8.00 p.m.and on holidays.

The college has a good hostel with all amenities and star class facilities. Good wholesome vegetarian food is provided to the students. Two hundred students and twenty staff members are presently residing in the hostel.

The Physical Education Department of the college is well equipped with Track and Field ground, Indoor and Outdoor stadium, huge playground and are provided with all facilities to enable the students to practice and participate in all sports and games. Students have participated in National level , State level and University level competitions.
