 Marucci  Elite  Tournament  @  Baseball  USA  

June  13th  -­‐  16th    

   

Overview      This  tournament  will  be  played  primarily  at  our  Baseball  USA  Powered  by  Marucci  facility.  There  will  also  be  games  played  at  Lamar  High  School  and  St.  John’s  High  School,  which  are  a  block  away  from  each  other.  It  will  be  a  pool  play  format,  with  each  team  playing  four  games  guaranteed,  weather  permitting.        

Rules/Regulations    

• Games  will  have  a  1  hr  45  min  time  limit,  with  NO  new  inning  beginning  beyond  this  point.    

Ø Games  are  scheduled  ever  2  hr  15  min,  allowing  time  for  starting  pitchers  to  get  loose.  

Ø Umpires  will  keep  the  time  and  announce  it  before  the  first  pitch.    • Run  Rule:    10  runs  after  5  innings…coaches  will  have  the  option  to  play  the  

full  time  allotment  in  the  interest  of  getting  pitchers’  work  in.    • Coin  flip  will  determine  home/visitor  and  must  be  done  prior  to  meeting  

with  umpires  before  the  game.    • Absolutely  NO  In  &  Out  on  the  field  before  games.    • Games  may  begin  up  to  15  minutes  prior  to  the  scheduled  start  time  if  both  

teams  as  well  as  umpires  are  present  and  ready  to  go.

• NFHS  rules  will  govern  gameplay  throughout  the  tournament.    • Teams  may  bat  9,  10,  or  their  entire  roster  if  agreed  upon  before  the  game.    • Each  team  will  give  the  umpire  3  new  baseballs  at  the  start  of  the  game.  

BOTH  teams  are  responsible  for  chasing  down  foul  balls  on  either  side  of  the  field.  Straight  back  is  the  responsibility  of  the  hitting  teams.  Coaches,  PLEASE  make  sure  your  players  are  retrieving  foul  balls.
