Boxing

• In Boxing, you fight with boxing gloves on your hands. The way it’s done is that two persons fight against each other until K.O. or till the time is up. It´s very spread out at almost every country at the modern world. It´s a very demanding sport, but the equipment doesn’t cost that much money.

• Jiu Jitsu is from the japanese Samurai´s, in the Feudal Japan, In 1868 they could use small weapons to attack and defend. But you cant have weapons with you today for safety. Ju Jutsu is about self-defense in fight. There is many strategies in ju jutsu the most popular strategies is atually the best strategies, cause as they say in Ju jutsu “ the best weapon is a great shield” It is not so popular in Denmark as Karate it is still quite popular.

• Like in Karate you have belts in Jiu Jitsu

Judo

• Judo is a modern martial art. It was created in Japan in around 1882. The Objective is to throw the opponent or to get him down on the floor. Immobilize or otherwise subdue an opponent with a pin, or force an opponent to submit with a joint lock or a choke. . Strikes and thrusts by hands and feet as well as weapons defenses are a part of judo, but only in pre-arranged forms (kata)

Taekwondo

• Taekwondo is a martial art where you can kick punch and block. There are many forms of taekwondo and they all have different form were the biggest is ITF AND WTF. Taekwondo are (tea) hands (kwon) foot (do) system.

• Mental skills: discipline, respect, patience, concentration, perseverance, mental balance.

• Physical skills: speed balance strength coordination.

Karate

• Karate is also a martial art, it original comes from Japan but is trained all around the world. Karate has three different ways of training Kata, Kumite and Kihon. Kata and Kihon is the most traditional way of karate where you do techniques.

• In Kata you do the techniques in a special order. • In Kihon you just do different techniques 5 times. • Kumite is more where you fight against each other.• There are 20 traditional different belts in karate: White,

yellow, orange, green, purple, brown, and black.• There are also 2 competition belts: Blue & Red.
