In 1966 Milton did his.first recording for Joe Gibbs on Amalgamated Label,' This record called 'Hope some. day' was done bv .the duo i f , < named 'The Leaders' also featuring Keith Blake. The followup 'Someday Some- where* came next and both rccqrds went over very well. k V Onr vear later Milton Ifft and joined the Progressions a group which did not last long r hr Fmot ions the next group was a hit -making one jnd Milton had to fill the void left !>\ \\A\ Romeo who had hrrn a pan of that group. In 1968 they put out 'You can't stop me* written by LJoyd Shakespeare, the found- er of the group. The version of ihi» "Dr. No-Go done for Tip Top Records <fvas very successful. Milton 'finished his study course on guitar playing, arrangement and composition and in 1970 he left the Emo- tions, His first effort on his own called 'No bread and but UT' on the Upsetters Label did not bell (well. Undaunted he changed> his name and under King \fledious produced a smash wjih This world -Man a Warrior'. His next shot done for Federal Records called 'Its so strange suffered from lack of promotion and fell by the way. He' spent the next few months doing at some night club acts and a few TV dates. Ib mid 74 he was back in the recording studio and this time as co-producer did 'Corn bread and Butter* on the Free- dom Label.
