Release date• From our research we have found that most romance

comedies are released around February time. The reason of this is because in February, it is Valentines day and most couples and people want to go watch something romantic with their loved ones and this is the best timing for our movie to be release.

Type of release• The release will be first through cinemas where it will have its

first premier in Birmingham and then it straight to all cinemas around the UK. It will not be in every cinema but the independent high class cinemas. It will first release as a premier in Star City with all the stars and people who are to do with the movie.

Format for release• The format for release will be a movie but will later print in

DVD for people to buy. This will also be released on Blu-Ray which will make people want to buy the Blu-Ray.

USP (Unique selling point)• The unique selling point for our movie will be that there will be new

characters in the movie which will make the audience want to watch and see the new characters in the movie.

• Our movie is a complicated story as there is two genres and a lot of mix which goes on in the movie which will grab the audiences attention and want to know all about the story.

• In the movie, there will be lots of comedy mixed with romance which will make it exciting as there is a combination which sounds very interesting.

• This story has a talking ghost who is funny which makes it seem interesting as the audience will want to watch something different as in most movies, ghosts are supposed to be scary but in this story, this ghost comes to help rather than kill/hurt anyone.

• Another USP of this movie would be that this movie is produced and made by students which is something different and no-one has seen a movie made by students.

Blurb • The blurb of the movie is where a university student Melissa

has a fatal car crash in her young years resulting in her falling into coma. She woke up form her coma after 3 months, but everything had changed from there. Melissa started to see ghosts, and there was one ghost in particular that didn't leave her alone. The ghost guides Melissa to her true love and in between are many comedies, tragedies and drama. Below is an example of Daddy Day Cares blurb on a DVD.

Similar titles • Meet Joe Black- A mogul who has to act like a guide to death

and takes a guy to make him learn about life and death and on the journey, falls in love with the guides daughter. This sort of links to our story as a guy falls in love with a girl and in our story, the girl needs to find her love of her life. The link between love and life is quite similar to ours as in our story, in life, there needs to be love as there in no life without love which helps towards the journey of the film.

• A Life less ordinary- Its starts off with a guy who is working as a cleaner in LA who takes his boss’s daughter to hostage after being fired from his job as he is replaced by a robot. There are two angels who have come to earth to bring the guy and girl together.

BBFC certificates and the requirements to get that• For a 12A certifications, the audience needs to be older than 12 and can see

the film unaccompanied. If anyone younger than 12, they must be accompanied by an adult 18 over. 12A is just for cinemas and 12 is for blu-rays, DVD’s and videos. There is no other age limit smaller than 12. In a 12A film, there may be some strong language. Some uses of strong language may lead the film turning to 15 depending on if there is aggressive uses of language.

• If there are any homophobic or racism language used in a film then it is unlikely it will be a 12A film.

• In a 12A film, not too much detail of violence is allowed as it cannot be dwell on detail. There also cannot be any importance on injuries or blood however brief sign of blood can be shown.

• Weapons and action scenes of fighting can be shown in a 12A film.• Horror films may be passed at 12A depending on what sort of physical and

violence is shown.• Dangerous behaviour such as suicide, hanging and self harming might be

allowed but cannot show the detail. Discriminatory behaviour cannot be allowed throughout the 12A certification.

Certificate

The certificate we have decided to give our film will be 12A based on what type of movie we will be doing. We have looked at what movies include and don’t include to make it a 12A.In our film, there will be signs of some violence and action where some detail will be shown so this will be classed as being 12A but also needs to be accompanied by an adult as this is a horror and there are some scenes which may be scary or have anything which will make you jump but this will have comedy which will make the audience laugh so 12A will be the best certification for our film. There will not be any self harming or any violence which a load of detail.

How you made these decisions• We decided to release our film for Valentines day as there will be more

audience where lots of couples will go to watch the movie as this is a romantic comedy which will be romance but also some comedy to make the movie seem hilarious. It will release in cinemas but with a premier in Star City and we made this decision as this will make the movie seem more exciting to watch when it is released after the premier. We also decided we need to make sure it releases on DVD later after it has been released in cinemas as many people will want to buy the DVD itself to keep the movie as a memory and may watch it with their loved ones when they are at home and we also thought that we should make a Blu-Ray copy as many people like to watch a movie in Blu-ray. We decided that that the unique selling point of our movie would be that there are new characters in our movie and this will attract the audience into watching our movie as there are new characters and people will want to see who the new ones are and may be interested.
