1. Vision, purpose, strategy and outcomes:
Vision: To increase the Jujube producer and link with relevant market actor’s for better production and more income through BAU/Apple Kul production.
Purpose:
To improve the existing market facilities and to create small holder farmers’ access to the market for more benefit.
To increase the small holder farmers’ income at their household level for link with input and out put market.
Considering strategies for implementation:
Interventions will focus mainly on jujube (BAU kul and Apple kul) production opportunities for small char producers and on build market and, which benefit the economic opportunities their household level as well as to serve the community.
Focus on selected interventions which results greater impact
Implement interventions in the Boyar char, Hatiya, Deara Baluya Guscho Gram Companygonj, Noahkali District following the PRISM approach of IDE-Bangladesh.
Expected outcomes:
Total number of Kul producer 500, Increase number of producer 45 and increase income of 60% of target household’s 20-25% taka by improving access to proper technologies/services/management in the char region of Kul production.
A total of 25 service providers will improve their capacity by public and/or private companies and provide better service to the clients in Jujube market.
Strong linkages develop among the producer, input and out put market actors. Increase Cultivating land for better employment opportunity for female farmers of Jujube
cultivation.
