Epson TM-C3500 label printer lowers printing costs The new Epson TM-C3500 label printer is designed for printing durable, high-quality colour labels. Businesses in the manufactu-ring and chemical industries, retail, healthcare and event management create labels which quickly dry, are both waterproof and smudge-proof, thanks to the pigmented DURABrite Ultra ink. Their intense natural colours stand out and impress. Thanks to in-house produc-tion, the TM-C3500 reduces waiting times for finished labels, which at the same increases

flexibility. The TM-C3500 is the successor of the highly suc-cessful Epson TM-C3400 label printer, and is available imme-diately at Jarltech.

Part of the cost-saving concept of the DURABrite Ultra inks lies in

the separate colour cartridges. You only need to replace the used-up colour. Using pigment ink in the new TM-C3500 guarantees that labels, barcodes, price tags and tickets are created in laser-sharp resolution, while also being particularly durable. The large, easy-to-read LC display continuously shows the printer status and informs the user early when a colour cartridge needs replacing.

Retail Tablet: Elo goes mobile

Elo Touch Solutions, a first-class worldwide supplier of touch-capable technologies, has launched a new mobile touch computing tablet. This device allows retailers to improve customer satisfaction, drive efficiency and ensure the brand name experience either in the shop or online. With a broad portfolio,

proven quality and reliability, and strong industrial partnerships, Elo offers new direc-tions for drawing in and retaining customers. When used in retail, the Elo Tablet directly fulfils the requirements of a powerful mobile business system for: mobile POS, shopping assistant, waiting line reduction and inventory management. The new Elo Tablet operates with Microsoft Windows and features an Intel Atom processor and a Solid State Drive.

It was specially developed to support software environments of leading

sales locations and mobile POS (mPOS) initiatives which are driven by

leading retailers.

An integrated magnetic stripe reader, bar-code scanning, a removable battery, wireless printing/network and vicinity communication are all contained within a form factor protec-ted against impacts. An additional docking station allows for connection with a wide selection of peripheral interfaces, while the main battery and additional battery pack simultaneously charge.

New Elo IDS systems Elo, the original founder of touch screen tech-nologies, has announced the launch of 3201L 32" and 4201L 42" interactive digital signage platforms (IDS). The built-for-touch professio-nal displays are a combination of large, energy efficient LED HD monitors with optional Intel Core i3 or i5 computer modules operated by Microsoft Windows. The robust design of the 3201L, 4201L, plus the existing 70" 7001L offers system integrators and resellers pow-erful scalable solutions. This also applies to usage and maintenance in environments with high degrees of wear, and in public areas, such as airports, office buildings, healthcare facilities, retail shops and train stations.

The newest 3201L and 4201L models are available with Elo’s IntelliTouch acoustic surface wave technology, or optical touch technologies, with which multiple users inter-act using up to six simultaneous touch points. Both offer enhanced clear glass for market-

leading bright-ness, together with the reliable touch operation over the course of many years. The integrated Elo computer module options improve the reliability of the digital displays without additional cables, while ensuring compati-bility with Apple iOS, Google Android, Linux and Windows.

New Datalogic PowerScan DPM scanners

Whether plastic, metal, wood, rubber, leather or glass – the new PowerScan 8950-DPM cap-tures various code types reliably, quickly, simply and intuitively in »Direct Part Marking« (DPM) applications. »Datalogic always makes an extra effort to create the right product at the right price to assure that the user receives the best value for the investment made. Since its first application in the automobile industry, DPM technology has quickly deve-loped. Today it is also used for example in aviation, electronics and computer indust-ries, as well as in the healthcare sector and the jewellery industry. Accordingly, various surfaces are printed – plastic, metal, wood, rubber, leather or glass. In order to ensure readability of the printed codes, the scanner must be adapted to the surface condition. Zebra ZXP Series printer portfolio completed

Zebra Technologies Corporation announced it has completed its ZXP Series direct-to-card printer portfolio with the launch of its new standard printer, the ZXP Series 1. The ZXP Series 1 rounds out the company’s card prin-ting solution offering by providing end users with a high-performing, entry-level printer that meets low volume printing needs.

Ideal for distributed printing using multiple printers, the ZXP Series 1 produces high-quality, single-sided cards, such as loyalty and membership cards, employee and stu-dent identification and visitor badges. The ZXP Series 1 requires minimal technical sup-port and is easy to integrate, while the com-pact design makes it ideal for use in locations where space is limited, such as on reception and security desks.

As part of the portfolio completion, Zebra also launched the next gene-ration of the ZXP Series 3 professional printer, which is suited for medium to higher volume applications requiring either single- or dual-sided printing. The next generation enhancements include expanded card support, improved monochrome print quality and a lower cost per card with the int-roduction of new, higher capacity, eco-friendly Load-N-Go smart ribbons that use less plastic and more biodegradable material.
