SWHAP Sustained Best Practice Award The Board of the Swedish Workplace HIV and AIDS Programme (SWHAP) has decided that for 2012 it will present a special award in recognition of a sustained best practice programme. The award goes to Atlas Copco South Africa. Atlas Copco South Africa won the Most Comprehensive Award category in 2009 and 2010 and the company continues to run an impressive workplace programme which is fully mainstreamed, providing comprehensive support to those employees that are HIV positive and preventing many more from acquiring the virus. Atlas Copco demonstrates leadership year after year in not only maintaining a fully comprehensive programme but also in managing to make additional improvements and finding innovative ways of keeping the programme’s momentum going. In addition, Atlas Copco South Africa has begun realising financial benefits through the reduction of pension and insurance premiums. Atlas Copco South Africa won the Most Comprehensive Award category in 2009 and 2010 and the company continues to run an impressive workplace programme which is fully mainstreamed, providing comprehensive support to those employees that are HIV positive and preventing many more from acquiring the virus.
