I was employed in the position of Loss Prevention Risk Manager for Denim Enterprises, operating the G-Star Concept stores within Australia from January 2012 through to April 2015 Julie Miller has been employed within the business for three years in management, at the prominent Brisbane City location. As part of my role, I interacted frequently with the Store Management teams on matters of Risk and Loss Prevention Management. I have worked closely with Julie for just over two years and it gives me great pleasure to provide you with this reference for her. Julie commenced work with Denim Enterprises as a casual in 2012 at our Chermside store. During her time as casual, Julie demonstrated a strong work ethic and commitment. Her dependability and customer engagement stood out amongst others, and as a result of her efforts, she was sort by the business to take up a full time management position. Julie was appointed to the position of Assistant Manager at our Brisbane store in December of 2013. It was during this time that I commenced direct communication with Julie as her role had a reporting relationship to mine. Julie’s role as Assistant Manager is not only customer service, but also the administration of weekly routines, checks and balances with cash and inventory. During the past two years, I attended the store on several occasions to complete business audits and stocktake. Stocktake was always a pleasure to complete at the store, as Julie always ensured the store was exceptional prepared, which ensured a smooth stocktake process. Operationally the store has constantly achieved an above average audit rating and a low shrinkage result, with all operational tasks completed on time. Julie has direct influence and accountability in these areas. Banking, cash controls and inventory management are well controlled under Julie’s administration and she always communicates concerns/ issues on timely basis, together with her solutions. Julie provides enormous support to her line manager and store team, and has on occasions managed the store extended periods during the absence of her store manager. During the past two years, I worked closely with Julie on several sensitive business matters, and I was able to relay upon Julie for assistance and guidance which enable us working as a team to bring these matters to a close and a successful outcome for the business.
