COMPANY PROFILE In June 2009 Orchards of London opened its doors to the public. From humble beginnings Orchards of London rose to the challenge to not only provide superb services but successfully establish a presence as a new business alongside larger, established Estate Agencies. Orchards of London have powered fearlessly on and have opened their second office on Chiswick High Road more than a year ago. Now with two exceptionally busy offices, both the Ealing and Chiswick teams can be seen daily doing their rounds in their eco fleet of branded Fiat 500’s. Behind this power house of industry and ideas sit two dynamic directors – Paul Connolly and Joseph Murphy. The successful ethos of Paul and Joseph is to be on the front line with their team of property professionals. Orchards of London have bigger plans for the future... ...and will continue to provide, the Orchards of London difference. TYPICAL PROPERTIES We tend to deal in the exclusive end of the market so we have an abundance of large family homes and desirable high end apartments. Having opened in Chiswick more than a year ago we have seen an increase of Notting Hill homeowners swapping their W11 postcode for a W4 postcode. We have some fabulous properties on our books ranging from quaint apartments starting at £310 per week to some extravagant homes at £4,000 per week. WHERE DID IT ALL START After discovering a talent for photography at school through a very inspirational teacher I choose to complete a degree in Design Photography. This is also where I developed an interest for architecture, in particular, patterns, space and building form. After completing my degree I started working for newspapers, magazines and doing various PR and photography projects on a freelance basis. I then ventured into the property industry and started developing the property brochures for Orchards of London. It was here that I felt a career change was coming on as I enjoyed the energy within the office. The ‘buzz’ around the offices is infectious. The transition was immense and one never stops learning but I could not imagine doing anything else. Having worked my way up throughout the years I now have a fantastic and pro-active team who always do their utmost for clients. YOUR MOST INTERESTING PROPERTY SOLD / LET The most interesting property I have let in Chiswick is on Chatsworth Road which has a wine cellar holding up to 1,700 bottles of wine and a home cinema. The property is beautifully designed inside. It was delight showing clients around this property. The Chiswick market is an exciting place to work in as you feel a sense of community, warmth and safety when wondering through the streets. Factors like this and the village like atmosphere is what attracts families and professionals -not to mention the array of fantastic schools available to families. Chiswick is also well connected for commuters of all sorts, the mentioned property was let to a multinational corporate who needs to be close to headquarters in West London. FAVOURITE PLACE IN OFFICE AREA Standing at the front of our office with my headset on and hearing my team helping clients find their dream homes – they do it with such gusto, its invigorating. Mark Carroll – Chiswick Lettings Manager MARKET COMMENT The Chiswick market has absolutely flourished since January this year. We have also had a number of deals agreed at record prices – a pleasant start to the new year! Chiswick offers great value for money, as mentioned previously, Notting Hill homeowners are trading in their postcodes for a W4 postcode due to the fact that they get more for their money and are able to live in a sensational part of London that is still close to everything and is terrific for commuters all round. Our instruction levels have remained high and are steadily climbing every month, we have also had a great deal of interest from commercial entities and relocation agents who are also keen to find value for money since quite a few corporates reduced their relocation budgets. We have always focused on giving clients honest, realistic and productive advice and are heavily investing in our online and offline marketing to reach the exact demographics that need our services.
