INVITATION
The Turbomachinery Laboratory at Texas A&M University invites you to attend (and to exhibit) at the Asia Turbomachinery and Pump Symposium (ATPS) in Singapore on February 22-25. 2016. The world-class Marina Bay Sands Hotel and Convention Center will host the fi rst biennial ATPS featuring a uniquely crafted technical program and an exhibition fl oor showcasing products and services from turbomachinery OEMS and engineering fi rms, global O&G companies, and educational institutions. Asia is the fastest growing market for energy and manufacturing, O&G production, and Singapore is at its center with prime fi nancial, logistics and engineering services and world renowned educational institutions.
ATPS builds on a history of success and will reproduce the format and unique fl avor of the outstanding Houston Turbomachinery Symposium and International Pump Symposium (TPS) , 44 years in the making, and the Middle Eastern Turbomachinery Symposium (METS). ATPS will thus promote professional development, technology transfer, peer networking, and information exchange among industry professionals. This is the one event, both global in content and local in practice, that engineers with interest in rotating machinery cannot miss, in particular those associated with the turbomachinery & pump industries in Asia.
A Technical Advisory Committee, a group of experienced engineers from around the world, is developing the ATPS technical program to offer a series of lectures, tutorials, case studies, discussion groups, and short courses. The meeting will emphasize the technology and troubleshooting that users need in today’s challenging workplace as well as promote the continuing education of young engineers. 40+ lectures will feature state of the art developments in centrifugal pumps and compressors and gas turbines, 20+ tutorials will present guidelines and common practices to troubleshoot and to verify equipment performance, and 40+ case studies will perform root cause analyses leading to solve chronic problems. Short courses will provide technical training on both fundaments and advanced practices in rotating machinery design and operation, and multiple discussion groups lead by reputed end users and OEM representatives will exchange knowledge and share do’s and don’ts in the practice of engineering.
ATPS is an outstanding value for users concerned with maintenance, performance, troubleshooting, operation, and purchase of rotating equipment. Exhibitors will fi nd the attendees (delegates) are knowledgeable professionals aiming to solve problems and having purchasing power.
We are pleased to welcome all our partners, friends, and colleagues in the oil and gas, petrochemical, aircraft, power generation, water treatment, subsea and off-shore technologies, and other related industries to fully participate in the ATPS.
