About Maria MartinezLived in the San
Ildefonso pueblo in New Mexico
Became known for her ceramic vessels
Inspired by prehistoric Native American pottery that was found
Maria created the vessels and her husband Julian painted them using the black-on-black technique
Both Maria and Julian would sign
the pottery since it was a collaborative
effort.
Maria and Julian enjoyed the artistic collaboration that they shared which would
last for many decades.
Requirements
Make sure you meet the following requirements: Experimented with form Sturdy vessel that is
smoothed Foot Body Neck At least 6" tall/wide At least 4" wide/tall Geometric surface design "Black-on-Black" Glaze

BodyThis is the main part of the pot that will hold the contents of
the vessel
NeckThis is the topmost part of the
vessel, there should be a definition from the body to the
neck such as an inward or outward curve.
