Recollection of the Dharmas of the PathA Rosary of thirty-eight Points of Instruction

    Four Preliminaries

Remembering the Blessedness of the Human State, ever contemplate the fact ofImpermanence. Thence contemplate Samsra - the Wheel of Transmigration, aswell as Action and its Result.

    Four Seals of the Dharma

All Compounded things are Impermanent, Suffering and Devoid of self. The Coming to Rest of all conditions is Peace, Nirvana - the Supreme State.

    Four Noble Truths

Suffering, the Cause of suffering, the Cessation of suffering and the Path to thecessation of suffering. These Four Noble Truths should ever be contemplated by

    the wise and intelligent.

Four ImmeasurablesFriendliness, Compassion, Sympathetic Joy and Equanimity - these four Holy

Abodes should be practised towards all sentient beings.

The two Accumulations, Bodhicitta and Emptiness

Thus while fulfilling the accumulations of virtue and wisdom, one should duly

Generate the Mind of Enlightenment and thence cultivate the understanding of

    Emptiness.

    Ngrjuna's fourfold statement on Emptiness

"That which is Dependent Origination is here declared to be Emptiness,

That is Dependent Designation and That Itself is the Middle Way."

Ngrjuna's characterisation of Ultimate Reality (tattva)

"Directly and Independently Intuited, Quiescent, Untouched by conceptual

proliferation, Devoid of distinctions and multiplicity - thus is Reality defined."

    The practice of the Bodhisattva

Thus Contemplating the Nature of Reality, the Bodhisattva, an Abode of

Compassion, should proceed Delighted and Contented on the Path of

Enlightenment, ever doing Virtuous Actions for the Welfare of all Sentient

    Beings.

    The Six Perfections

Generosity, Virtue, Endurance, Strength, Meditation and Wisdom - these six, taken to Perfection, are what constitute the Practice (cary) of the Bodhisattvas.
