Sh. Kalraj Mishra, Hon'ble Minister of MSME,
Government of India , while inaugurating NSIC's
Training and Incubation Centre at Deoria, U.P, in the
presence of Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC said that
this is the first centre of its kind for skill development
of youths and budding entrepreneurs in this region. Speaking on this occasion Sh. Ravindra Nath,
Chairman & Managing Director, NSIC informed that
NSIC's Training & Incubation Centre at Deoria spread
into an area of 5000 sq.ft. will provide training in
trades such as Bread & Bakery, Soya Milk production,
Water Filteration, Edible Oil Extraction, Packaging, Paper
Napkin, Spice Grinding, Socks Knitting, Fashion
Designing, Mobile Repair, Electrical Gadget Repair,
Computer Hardware & Networking trade, Web
Designing & Multimedia, Spice Grinding & Packaging etc.
These projects, selected on the basis of local needs,
require low investment which can be easily
started by the budding entrepreneurs.
The NSIC Training cum Incubation Centre will train
800 people who will be capable of being self- employed after the completion of their training.
The col lege going students pursu ing looktechnical/academic can forward to various
avenues to earn livelihood after completing their studies. Also, large part of the population of this region needs to be utilized in non-farm activities
without affecting the agricultural output. This will
enhance the economic development which is not
possible without the productive use of youths or unemployed and for both the above mentioned
categories of population, NSIC's 'Training and
Incubation Centre on its Rapid

provide them opportunities for
'self-employment' and 'job
creation' instead of them looking

National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) signed a Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) with Ministry of Micro, Small and
Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The MOU for the year 2015-16
was signed by Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC with Shri Madhav
Lal, Secretary, MSME, Government of India. Also present
during the MOU signing ceremony were Shri S.N.Tripathi, Joint
Secretary, MSME, Shri P. Udayakumar, Director (P&M), NSIC and
Shri B.H. Anil Kumar, Joint Secretary (ARI) The said MOU
envisages provision of enhanced services by NSIC under its
Financial, Marketing, Technology Services and other support
services schemes for MSMEs in the country. The MOU projects
growth of 15%-20% in the operational performance of the
Corporation during the year 2015-16. The key elements of the
MOU for 2015-16 inter-alia include:
a) Raw Material Distribution to the tune of Rs. 21000 crore in 2015-16 as against Rs. 18000 crore in the year 2014-15.
b) Preparing MSMEs to avail enhanced benefits under 'Public Procurement' through consortia formation, conducting vendor
development program and providing tender information to facilitate in tender participation.
c) Adoption of 10 clusters to extend benefits of NSIC's Schemes to the MSMEs operating from such clusters.
d) Facilitate MSMEs in their marketing efforts through mobilising greater membership under e-marketing portal-
www.msmeshopping.com.
Further, Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC informed that special focus will also be given by NSIC to enhance the entrepreneurship and skill
development activities through setting up livelihood incubation centres under the Scheme for “Promotion of Innovation,
Entrepreneurship and Agro- Industry”of Ministry of MSME.
NSIC signs MOU with Ministry of MSME for the Year 2015-16.
Sh. Kalraj Mishra, Hon'ble Minister of MSME, Government of India
launched the Scheme of Fund for Promoting Innovation,
Entrepreneurship and Agro-Industry (ASPIRE). This scheme has
been designed by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium
Enterprises, which has components like (i) Creation of a
Technology Centres network; (ii) Capacity Building including
Awards, Surveys, Studies, Exposure Visits, Engagement of
Consultants including Monitoring and Evaluation etc.; (iii)
Support for setting up of Livelihood Business Incubation
Centres (LBIs) and Technology Incubation Centres; (iv)
Accelerator Workshops; and (v) a Fund of Funds (to be
managed by SIDBI) for Start-Up promotion. The idea is to
provide a one stop solution to enterprise creation of
innovative ideas, along with livelihood employment generation. The
scheme also has the flexibility to add new components based on the experience during its implementation. During the
launching ceremony, the presence of various NSIC's incubates turned successful entrepreneurs, was also recognized by the Hon'ble
Minister of MSME. Sh. Ravindra Nath, Chairman & Managing Director, NSIC informed that these trainees were trained in NSIC's Rapid Incubation Centre and are now successfully running their respective enterprises. Present on the occasion were Sh. Giriraj Singh, Hon'ble

Shri Ravindra Nath, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, NSIC Inaugurated NSIC’s Annual Review Conference (ARC) held from April 5 to
April 8, 2015 at Mussoorie, Uttrakhand. All Zonal Heads, Heads of NSIC’s Technical Centres and all Branch Heads met where their
business performances for 2014-15 were reviewed by C.M.D. and Director (Planning & Marketing) and Business Strategy / targets for
the year 2015-16 was finalized for each Branch / Technical Centre. Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC also felicitated the Zonal & Branch
Heads with “Certificate of Appreciation” whose Zones & Branches excelled in their performance during past year. Mr. P. Udayakumar,
Director (Planning & Marketing), NSIC was also present on the occasion. A two-day training programme was also the part of ARC where
Zonal / Branch Heads deliberated on various contemporary issues including i.e. Setting up of Livelihood Business Incubators under the
Scheme “ASPIRE” of Government of India for MSMEs, Implementation of ERP in NSIC, Advanced IT interventions, Corporate
Governance and Vigilance – inculcating Operational and Functional discipline, Compliance of RBI Guidelines etc.

KSSIDC Industrial Estate, Rajajinagar, Bengaluru. Spread into three floors, the new building has a dedicated reception area for MSME
clients along with operational area for Branch Office at the first floor and a conference hall for meetings at second floor and is better
equipped to cater to the MSMEs of the region more professionally. development with In Karnataka, NSIC is in the forefront of MSME establishments in Industrial town, Rajaji Nagar and Peenya Industrial Estate in Bengaluru, Udyambagh in Belgaum and NSIC Training
Centre in Kolar. It also has three Godowns in Bengaluru for distribution of raw materials. NSIC has entered into MOUs for supply of raw
materials to MSMEs with Raw material producers like NALCO & BALCO (Aluminium), HCL (Copper), CPCL (Paraffin wax), SAIL, RINL,
ISPAT, JSW (Steel) at competitive rates. NSIC also facilitates import of raw materials.
Applauding the role of NSIC, during the inauguration ceremony, Hon'ble Minister of MSME Sh. Kalraj Mishra said that services of NSIC in
enhancing the competitiveness of MSMEs are remarkable in today's scenario where MSMEs can play an important role in fortifying
“Make in India” campaign. He urged the Corporation to further reach out to larger number of MSMEs by adopting cluster approach.

Shri. Madhav Lal, Secretary MSME, Govt. of India inaugurating the
NSIC pavilion at the VIBRANT GUJARAT TRADE SHOW 2015 in
the presence of Shri. Ravindra Nath, CMD,NSIC, Shri. P.
Udayakumar, Director (P&M), NSIC. In the Vibrant Gujarat Trade
Show 2015,NSIC had put up an exclusive NSIC Pavilion on an
area of 500 sq mt. where 43 MSME units show-cased their
product under the NSIC Banner. The MSME units belonging to the
SC/ST category and 7 women entrepreneurs also availed the
opportunity to display their products in the NSIC pavilion. Shri. P. K.
Jha, Zonal General Manager (Central Zone) managed the NSIC
participation.
NSIC (Ahemdabad) sets up exclusive display of SC/ST MSMEs in HASTKALA MELA -2015
NSIC (Ahmedabad) set up an exclusive display of SC/ST
MSME units products at the HASTKALA MELA organized by
the Utkarsh Trust ( an NGO engaged in the development of
women and backward class people of the society ).Smt.
Minaxiben Patel, Mayor of Ahmedabad, alongwith Smt.
Rekha Adhwaryu, CEO, Utkarsh Trust in the presence of Sh.
P. K. Jha, Zonal General Manager (Central),NSIC
inaugurated the NSIC Pavilion. 35 SC / ST MSMEs
participated under the NSIC Banner & showcased variety
of artistic products which included handloom, textile,
interior decoration items, bags, utilities, leather items,
metal products, pottery, etc. Recognizing their talent
,NSIC (Ahemdabad) had given them opportunity to
market their products under the NSIC Banner and
invited the exhibitors to avail the benefits of all NSIC
schemes. These MSMEs have their bases in the remote rural areas of Gujarat like
Kutch, Bansakantha, Dholka, Dhandhuka, etc. On the spot registration of Units under Single Point
Registration/B2C webportal membership was also done during this period.
CMD, NSIC interacts with Goa Industry Associations Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC during his visit to
Goa interacted with various members of
industrial associations in the Goa state such as
GSIA , GCCI Verna, Kundaim, Bicholim, Margao
and Corlim Industrial Estate. The various initiatives
and schemes of NSIC for the benefit of MSME
sector were highlighted during this programe.

NSIC ( Cochin) organised “ National Level Vendor Development
Programme and Product Certification seminar “ in association with KSSIA
Kottayam ,MSME-DI, KSSIA, Cochin Shipyard, BPCL Kochi Refinery
,Coconut Development Board ,ISRO, VSSC and Southern Railway , at
Kodimatha ,Kottayam. Shri R.Saravana Kumar, Senior Branch Manager,
NSIC, Cochin,Shri. Santhalingam, Asst.Director, MSME-DI ,Thrissur,
Sri.James Emmanuel, President , KSSIA Kottayam, Sri.Xavier Thomas
Kondody ,Former state president ,KSSIA and other speakers from the
participating state Public Sector Units explained their various Product
Certification Features. The vendor development programme evoked a
good response and 45 units interacted with during the program.
Special Vendor Development Program for SC/ST.
A Special Vendor Development Program for
SC/ST. was organized by NSIC (Jaipur) to
create awareness amongst the SC/ST
entrepreneurs regarding procurement
procedures / policies of “ Rajasthali” which is
the largest agency of Rajasthani products in
Rajasthan.58 entreprenurs of SC/ST category
were benefitted by this event. Shri K. K.

initiatives of NSIC in reaching out to the MSMEs of the region as also
disseminating the benefits of NSIC Schemes to those located in
the Tribal Belt of Jharkhand State. Shri Bijay Kumar Sharma ,Branch

State, MSME at Jamshedpur.
Zonal NewsZonal NewsMedical Camp under NSIC –CSR Initiatives.A Medical Camp was organized by NSIC (Jaipur)
for the Deaf Dumb and Blind Students of the
Netraheen Vikas Sansthan (Jodhpur) under NSIC 's
CSR initiatives. 500 students of the Netraheen Vikas
Sansthan (Jodhpur) were benefitted.Out of these
12 Deaf and 7 dumb students were identified for
further action by AIIMS for betterment of hearing.

on this occassion.
Zonal Office (West) accelerating MSMEs to take their Business to Next level.NSIC (Mumbai) organised Marketing Campaign at MACCI House (Fort) in association
with Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (MACCIA) Union
Bank of India, Bombay Stock Exchange, and 100 Entrepreneurs participated in this
program. Shri. Sandeep Sonawane, Deputy Manager (Business Development)
actively interacted with the participants and created awareness about the benefits of
NSIC schemes in this program. to further reach out NSIC (Mumbai) in association with
MSME-DI organised a Buyer Seller Meet at Thane (West ) to promulgate the Public
Procurement Policy and developments there on with various PSUs like Mumbai Port
trust, BPCL, etc. The Buyer Seller Meet provided a platform to collaborate and
understand the Buying procedures of the various participating PSUs. 70 MSMEs
participated in this session. A Special Vendor Development Program for SC/ST
Entrepreneurs in District Palghar region was also organised by NSIC (Mumbai) in
association with MSME-DI and invited Central Govt. Agencies like Central Railways, BARC
& Mumbai Port Trust to the event to deliberate on their Purchase Policy & Procedure and also on implementation of Public Procurement
Policy. This program was attended by 50 participants. Shri. S. Suresh, Branch Manager ,NSIC (Andheri) gave presentation about the
benefits of various NSIC schemes.

. The Walk-in Interviews were held
through out the day and Around 254
candidates were shortlisted for the
next round of selection process. Shri.

NTSC (Rajpura) Trainees Showcase Fashion Products & Accessories
Fashion has the power to transform an image and make a
social statement be it rural or urban. Today this sector has
opened numerous opportunities for the youth of our country.
In tune with this ,NTSC (Rajpura) amongst other testing and
technical services , has also been conducting “Computerized
Fashion Designing “Course at the NSIC (Rajpura Centre).
Recently in order to encourage the passed out Trainees( all
women) of the NTSC (Rajpura Centre), an exhibition on wide
range of fashion outfits designed and prepared by them was put
up on display/Sale. The Exhibition was inaugurated by Shri J.Jain,
Sub Divisional Magistrate, Rajpura who highly appreciated NSIC -
NTSC for imparting skills as per need of the hour and motivated
the participants to take up self employment post training and
urged the participants to avail full benefits of NSIC Schemes in
order to scale up their operations thereby becoming
economically independent. The said initiative was managed by Centre Head, Shri
Rajesh Kumar and his team.

NTSC (Rajpura ) participates in National Vendor Development Programme- cum- Industrial Exhibition Karnal (Haryana).
NSIC-NTSC, (Rajpura) set up a stall highlighting the core activities of the Rajpura Centre during the National Vendor Development
Programme- cum- Industrial Exhibition Karnal (Haryana). During this programme, NTSC- Rajpura showcased common facility services,
technical trainings offered as well as disseminated the benefits of other NSIC schemes for the MSMEs. Number of Buying Central Govt.
departments and agencies of Govt. of India such as like Railways, Defense, CPUs including IOCL, BHEL, NFL, RINL, CIPET and Banks such as
PNB, SBI, Scheduled Banks etc showed keen interest in the schemes of NSIC and in particular the Raw Materials facilitation scheme . 40
business enquiries were generated .The NSIC participation was managed by Shri Rajesh Kumar, Centre Head,NTSC (Rajpura)
Pump And Motor Testing Lab at NTSC Chennai.NSIC-NTSC, (Chennai) has created a new Testing Lab facility for testing
Pumps and motor for the benefit of MSMEs. This testing lab will have the
facility to test the energy consumption and performance of Pumps and
Motors Up to 150 HP. This test facility is setup under Bureau of Energy
Efficiency (BEE) initiative of “Capacity Building of Testing Laboratories in
India”. The new,”NTSC Chennai test lab” will serve the manufacturing
sector of pumps and motors and expected to attract more number of
entrepreneur into this sector, thereby increase in Employment
generation. This centre will also be utilised by BEE for star rating and
labeling program for pumps and motors and by BIS for certification
under ISI standards.

Startup Entrepreneurs SummitIn order to encourage youth to set up their own
enterprises and become “Job providers” rather than “Job
seekers, “NSIC –Technical Services Centre (Okhla) invited
Canara Bank, MSME Division to organize Startup
Entrepreneurs Summit in the campus of NTSC okhla
recently. In the said event, 40 nos of NSIC -Incubation
trainees participated and interacted with the officials of
Canara bank, DIC and SIDBI to get information on obtaining
credit to start their own enterprise. The interactive session
was very informative and Canara Bank assured to consider
the credit proposals of Incubation trainees on priority basis.
Shri Abdul Khader, AM,NTSC(Okhla) coordinated the said
initiative. The dignitaries present on this occasion included
CMD, NSIC interacts with Rajkot Industry Associations (Gujarat)Shri Ravindra Nath, CMD, NSIC during his recent visit to NSIC –Technical
