March Is Women’s History MonthDo you ever wonder why different months are given certain designations? Here are a few
great reasons why March has been chosen as National Women‘s History Month: • EdithNourse Rogers, born March 19, 1881, was the first woman to have her name attached tomajor legislation, creating the Women‘s Auxiliary Corps. • The anniversary of the firstWomen‘s Collegiate Basketball Game is March 22, 1893. • Susan B. Anthony, who wasarrested and fined for the outrageous act of voting, died March 3, 1906. • Sandra DayO‘Connor, born March 26, 1930, was the first woman appointed to the Supreme Court. • TheEqual Rights Amendment passed March 22, 1972, prohibiting discrimination on the basisof sex. • “Cagney & Lacey,” the first female television crime show, premiered on March 25,1982.
Safety Tips from The CDCWash your hands often. Keeping hands clean is one of the most important steps you can
take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others. Wash your hands with soap andwarm water for at least 20 seconds. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when youcough or sneeze.
Stay warm. Cold temperatures can cause serious health problems, especially in infantsand older adults. Stay dry, and dress warmly in several layers of loose-fitting, tightly wovenclothing.
Manage stress. Keep a check on over-commitment and over-spending. Balance work, home, and play. Get support from family and friends. Keep a relaxed and positive outlookand get enough sleep.
Travel safely by car. Whether you're traveling across town or across the country, take stepsto ensure that your trip is safe. Don't drink and drive, and don't let someone else drink anddrive. Wear a seat belt every time you drive or ride in a motor vehicle.
Prevent injuries. Injuries can occur anywhere and some occur around the holidays. Usestep stools instead of furniture when hanging decorations. Never leave fireplaces, stoves,or candles unattended.

How to drink morewater when you don'tlike drinking water
Have you ever thought about making an all-purpose cleaner, laundry detergent, or drainunclogger that didn't have so many harsh chemicals in it? (ere are plenty of options to do so thatare easy, inexpensive, and -- perhaps best of all -- that actually work!
Here are some tips for household cleaners:Vinegar, baking soda, water, and your favorite essential oil can clean almost anything around
the house. And some of us never tire of the way the baking soda and the vinegar 'zz up when theymeet.
Tea Tree oil is considered among many to be an e&ective antibacterial and antifungal ingredient, and you'll 'nd it in a host of natural cleaning products.
Try making a homemade laundry detergent with some combination of baking soda, washingsoda, castile soap, and your favorite essential oil (like lavender). (ere are tons of variations online.
