Parents/Guardians: On March 5 th , students across Indiana will begin taking the first portion of the ISTEP+ assessment. This will test students’ basic knowledge of specific skills. This will impact students in Grades 3-6 at Woodlan Primary and Woodlan Intermedi- ate. We need your help to assure that students have a good testing environ- ment. Please make sure that your child gets a good night sleep the night before the test and arrives to school on time. Sometimes, students can become nervous about assessments such as this. Talk to them and help ease their fears and ask them to do their best. Woodlan Primary parents, we have students that are being dropped off at school very early. If your child is not eating breakfast (which doesn’t begin until 7:40 a.m.), then they should not be dropped off before 7:45 a.m. We do not have su- pervision until then. I am also requesting again that students are dressed appropriately for the cold weather when they come to school. There are still students that are wearing only a sweat shirt to school.
