This project was born from the unique situation we find ourselves in today. It is being streamed online. Our rehearsal process took place remotely. The video segments were filmed individually by the cast and edited together by an extremely skilled videographer.
This is our new normal.
Every day of 2020 brought new information, a new set of circumstances, a new way to live our lives. We lost privileges. We lost loved ones. We lost our sense of safety. Our sense of self. I have to believe that in between those moments of loss, we also found something. We found new ways of communicating with each other. We found out what we could do without. We found out how strong we are.
New beginnings aren’t always joyous occasions, but they always teach us something. That we can make peace, let go, and if we choose, embrace the future that hopefully turns out even better than we could have imagined.
In 2019 these circumstances would have been unthinkable...but look at the magic we created by letting go of what was and embracing what is.
