Pray for Vocations
1st Sunday of Lent
We begin the season of Lent with Jesus going into the desert. We need to follow him into the desert of fasting, prayer and self-denial in order to re-learn the covenant way of life which comes with our Baptism. Now is the time to turn from dis-tractions. Now is the time to remember and reverence our own dignity and the life and dignity of each person as God’s beloved. Now is the time to set aside anything that diverts us from our true hunger and thirst for God alone. What is the fasting God desires for us this Lent?

From Ashes to Easter We are blessed by the generous gift of Jesus Christ. Through his Spirit, his grace has been poured into our hearts. With open and merciful hearts, we are invited to share our blessings. As we add coins to our Ashes to Easter box each day, we together will bring hope to struggling missions. Please pray a Hail Mary for the missions. Lent boxes can be picked up after Mass today. All boxes should be returned on Easter Sunday or the week after.
