Denim, Diamonds, And Dice Casino…You Play … Children Win!
The Casino Party was a huge success! On behalf of the
staff and students at Fall Creek Elementary, I would like to
thank the PTO board, Kim Green and her Denim, Dia-
monds, and Dice Casino Fund Raiser Committee, volun-
teers, sponsors, donors and supporters of this important
and extremely successful event.
Let's Be Good Neighbors!
Please keep our students safe and be kind and consider-
ate of our neighbors on Stonebridge Creek (on the cafe-
teria side of the school). Please do not park in front of
the houses especially in front of driveways, park only
with the flow of traffic, do not park on the grass, use the
sidewalk while walking inside the gate, drive slowly and
watch for students and other pedestrians crossing the
street. Please use the curbside service offered before
and after school where it is becoming more and more
efficient and students are unloaded and loaded safely.
Thank you for helping to keep our students and neigh-
borhood safe.
Yearbook Pictures Needed
We need your snap shots for the
yearbook! Group pictures are the
best. We have had a lot fun activ-
ities since school has started and
would love to include them in the
Yearbook. You can email them to
[email protected]. Make sure you include what
grade and class the students are in.
Thank You!!!
This Friday is the date we are making up for our bad weather turkey trot! We are also celebrating our jump rope for heart! We will have a jump rope exhibit before we run our laps. Parents, neighbors, faculty and staff are all invited to come out and walk/run laps with the students. All grade levels will be able to participate according to the schedule below. Guests who come to the school to participate will have their laps counted for the class/student for which they choose. Guests in strollers are welcome but their laps will not count. Due to safety reasons, we ask that all pets be left at home. Please be sure to wear comfortable clothes and a good pair of tennis shoes. Dear Parents and Families, The Scholastic Book Fair will be at our school March 3rd-6th with special evening hours scheduled for Thursday, March 6th during Open House that will include face painting and book characters.
Our spring 2014 exciting theme is Book Fair Fiesta! We need volunteers to help put on a one-of-a-kind Book Fair.
If you have some time to help us at our Book Fair, please go online to www.fcpto.com/volunteer and sign up on SignUp Genius.
Our profits will go toward new books, and a visit by Bad Kitty author, Nick Bruel in May of this year.
Thank you, Mrs. Nickelson
During the week, we will have our Book Fair open Thurs-day, March 6th during Open House. Students and parents can stop by the library to shop and visit with book charac-ters, have their face painted and hear some of their favor-ite stories.
This year we have set our goal at $16,000 in sales. With your support at the book fair, we are able to purchase more books for our library and fund author visits. This is our only source of raising funds and we are grateful for your support at this time of year.
To help with the book fair, contact Mrs. Nickelson at 281-641-3406 or by email [email protected].
PLEASE VOLUNTEER AS A SCIENCE FAIR JUDGE
Fall Creek is participating in Humble ISD’s district Science Fair this year for the first time. Participation requires that we provide volunteers for the judging exchange program. This helps eliminate any parent-child judging conflicts. To participate, Fall Creek must provide the names of volun-teers willing to judge science fairs at other elementary schools within the district. Although you are not directly working at Fall Creek, it is helping our school qualify for the judging exchange program. The judges will need to be available through the school day (8 am to 2 pm) and will be provided refreshments and a lunch. The judging process is very guided and simplified by helpful district employees and other volunteers that attend the fairs. For more infor-mation please contact Cassie Young at [email protected]. To see the dates of the local science fairs and sign up to volunteer please visit the link below. Thank you for your support.
