Our Spring Sing last year was a tremendous success. I expected a wonderful program from our clubs and hosts and hostesses and found that they exceeded my expectations. Now I eagerly await our second annual Spring Sing and welcome all of our guests to the Harding campus. Come visit with us whenever you can. We are delighted to have you on our campus.

We are thrilled that the Spring Sing, now in its second year, coincides with the annual Harding College Youth Forum. It is a very exciting addition to the activities available to Youth Forum guests as well as currently enrolled students and others in the college community. I have been most favorably impressed with the quality of the per­formances which maintain the high standards so characteristic of

SYLVIA ROSE is a senior music major from Detroit, Michigan. She is a transfer student from South ­western Christian College in Terrell, Texas, where she served as student director of the A Cappella Chorus, co-editor of the annual, vice­president of her graduating class, and was a member of " Who's Who Among Junior Colleges." At Har­ding, Sylvia was a member of the A Cappella Chorus and is now a member of the Bison Band.

TIM HOLDER, a freshman music major from Searcy, is a member of the A Cappella Chorus, Campaigns Northeast, and the Chi Sigma Alpha social club. He is an active par­ticipant in dramatics , having played the lead in Harvey in high school and having a part in Harding' s recent You Can't Take It With You. He is a speech minor. In high school, Tim was state president of the Future Teachers of America.

ANN ULREY is a 20 year old junior from Searcy. This is her second year to be chosen a Spring Sing hostess. An English major and speech minor, she is active in Readers Theatre and oral interpretation. Ann has been a member of the A Cappella Chorus , Belles and Beaux, and is presently the lead singer in an eight piece rock band . She is a member of the Shantih social club and the Alpha Chi honor society.

STACY PETERS comes from Glenwood, Arkansas. He is one of the original hosts from last year's Spring Sing who was chosen again for the honor. He is a junior and an accounting major. Stacy is a member of the Mohican social club. This summer, he frequently entertained the students during the Harding summer session in chapel and in the Supper Clubs.

MICHELE PULLARA is a member of the A Cappella Chorus and the Social Affairs Committee. She is an officer in numerous groups, in­cluding Little Sisters, JOY, and her social club, Shantih. A sophomore who has not yet decided on a major, Michele was freshman representative to the Student Association in 1973-1974. She is a native of Searcy and gr aduated from the Harding

WARREN CASEY is the student director of this year's stage band. A senior music education major from New Orleans, Louisiana, he is president of the Harding Band and SMENC (the music majors' club) and is a member of the A Cappella Chorus. For the past two summers, Wan·en has been a member of the music staff at Dogpatch, U.S.A., in the capacity as performer and arranger . When not directing the band, he plays clarinet and tenor sax.

JOHN H. RYAN is associate professor of speech at Harding. He graduated from Harding and has been teaching here for l4 years. One of his interests is In ­terpreters Theatre. He has helped with many student production and has directed several of his own. in­cluding Animal Farm in 1972. He received the M.A. from the Univcr il of Illinoi . and the Ph.D. from the University of Missouri. This is his second year as sponsor for Spring Sing.

JEFF HOPPER joined the faculty of the Music Department last semester after graduating from here. He has also studied at the Conservatory of Music in Cin­cinnati, Oglethorpe College, and Southern Illinois University. While in school, he was a member of the A Cappella Chorus, Belle and Beaux, and the KHCA staff. Last year he directed the music for the Homecoming musical My Fair Lady. This semester he compo ed riginal music for You Can't Take It With You.
